  1. He is very streaky. In the last 6 weeks he's had a 2-20 and 4-29 streak
  2. That should be an out. He's literally looking back at the ball.
  3. I'd put Harrison in the question mark. Include Gasser with Miz and Henderson. Obviously Gasser is more back of the rotation though. Definitely feels like they will need to add a FA SP that you could feel good about throwing 150 innings.
  4. He has an 89 wRC+ and he still has yet to be pinch hit for a single time this year outside of being pulled early in blowouts.
  5. I just can't do this come October. Yelich is washed. Stop treating him like he's still good. That has to be Vaughn pinch hitting there.
  6. Pinch hit Vaughn for Yelich here please.
  7. I genuinely think every single missed call by him has favored the Phillies.
  8. Yeli unfortunately is looking super washed again. Hope he somehow figures it out before the postseason because you know the Brewers are going to start him because his name is Christian Yelich.
  9. The Gasser who was fresh off TJ and looked like a shell of what he does right now?
  10. Stuff looked good. When he was locating they didn't do anything. The three hits all came on pitches that missed the target by over a foot. Two FB wanted up thrown down in the zone and a slurve wanted outside thrown inside.
  11. How can you say that about Gasser but not May who has been miles worse than Gasser these last two months???
  12. It's a joke becuase Jopal said that May was giving the Brewers exactly what they needed.
  13. Dustin May continues to give the Brewers exactly what they wanted when they traded for him
  14. Riley O'Brien made the ASG over Trevor Megill as well. Megill - 2.76 ERA, 2.72 xERA, 1.89 FIP, 28 saves O'Brien - 4.14 ERA, 4.95 xERA, 3.96 FIP, 37 saves I think it's one of the reasons why you should take into consideration underlying stats for the ASG because a lot of guys can have flukey half seasons and make the ASG. Now just because you had good underlying stats doesn't mean you will continue it in the second half but I think someone with good underlying stats is more likely to carry over success to the second half than a guy playing way above his underlying stats.
  15. You'd think Misiorowski is probably on some sort of a pitch count today. It's his first start on 4 days rest since early July.
  16. Yes Freddy has been miles better than May post deadline. May - 5.40 ERA, 6.22 xERA, and 4.71 FIP Freddy - 3.60 ERA, 3.89 xERA (will be lower after today), and 4.00 FIP And Freddy has thrown 18.1 more innings than May as well so not only has he crushed him rate wise he’s crushed him volume wise as well.
  17. I’m not even sure what this means. Freddy has been miles better than May and cost a lot less. Why would their fans be mad? Why would Brewers fans think the guy with a 5.40 ERA, 6.22 xERA, and 4.71 FIP has been anything other than terrible?
  18. And his one run allowed was off a cheap triple on what should have been a can of corn in right field but the RF lost the ball in the Sun. That’s a tough loss for him. Feel like he certainly pitched better between him and Gasser but baseball is a game where the better pitcher doesn’t always wins
  19. I’d say the gap defensively is pretty big if we are specifically talking about the present. Sal has looked really off defensively this year and don’t think you can trust his arm at this point. Feel like the starting spot is still up for grabs with 7 games to go and neither of them are doing a good job seizing the starting spot.
  20. I never said Dustin May and some anonymous AAA shuttle arm were interchangeable so no idea why you're coming at me with that. You said May who has been terrible as a Brewer has been exactly what the Brewers needed and I'm calling that rubbish. If this is all they needed they would have traded for a Civale or Montas type arm. It absolutely was a massive package. Frias is a consensus Top 100 prospect. Acting like he's nothing because he's in A ball is being contrarian to be contrarian.
  21. I'm sorry but the idea May has been exactly what the Brewers needed is hilarious. He's been awful both in terms of actually pitching well and in terms of giving length. Even if you throw out the 1 out performance where he got hurt on the come backer he's been averaging well below 5 innings a start. If this was all the Brewers needed they wouldn't have traded a massive package and instead would have given up a couple lottery tickets for a random Joe Schmoe inning eater.
  22. Because of frame rates being so low back when Caldwell pitched, you would need to time a lot of his pitches to have a good feel for the actual velo. Tangotiger talked about this a couple weeks ago because someone was trying to compare a side by side of an older pitcher with a current pitcher.
  23. Yes undoubtedly or at least the average velo.
  24. 2008 was the start of the pitch tracking era where we have accurate pitch level data. The average FB velo in 2008 was 91.9mph. The average FB velo in 2026 is 94.8mph so up nearly 3mph in just the last 18 years. Anything before that we can't say for certain. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_search?hfPT=FF|&hfGT=R|&hfSea=2026|2025|2024|2023|2022|2021|2020|2019|2018|2017|2016|2015|2014|2013|2012|2011|2010|2009|2008|&player_type=pitcher&group_by=league-year&min_pitches=0&min_results=0&min_pas=0&sort_col=pitches&sort_order=desc&chk_stats_velocity=on#results
  25. The roster move was yesterday (Colton Gordon)
