  1. Casey Schmitt should be the target.
  2. Those two have nothing to do with each other
  3. Some of you are scared to do any type of trade - We cant move our precious prospects.
  4. I'd rather try and fail and not do anything at all. Plus, im not saying trade Pena or a rental - Pena ceiling is probably CJ, who is a top 5 SS in baseball
  5. Look If you dont want to trade someone like Pena, Williams or lara for CJ Abrams - Thats on you, but dont complain when this team comes up short again. We have a glaring weakness on the left side - It needs to be address.
  6. Its the fact that some poster wont even do moves like this which is really annoying.
  7. Well, its rinse and repeat with him.
  8. We have never truly gone for it. The 2018 was the closest Why is that so hard to understand - Eventually, you need to do something to get over the hump
  9. We get it, your rather enjoy summer with a competitive team then actually go for it sometime. I'll make sure you get a participation trophy.
  10. He is under contract for two more seasons, might be more expensive than you think
  11. Use the 2018 Trade Deadline as example Acquired 3B Mike Moustakas from Royals. Acquired 2B Jonathan Schoop from Orioles. Acquired RHP Joakim Soria from White Sox. I would say that was the last time they went "all in"
  12. Padres didnt have as good as team as we have now - An all in move is like 1 or two players. Not askiing for everyone. But based on your past comments on this, you are drinking that Mark A Kool-Aid of having an enjoyable summer,.
  13. Cause its worked out for us really well the last couple of years
  14. Thats the spirit - Lets not ever go for it
  15. i argued last year that we needed to make a go for it move and many on this board were too scared. This years team is better than last years and we have 1 need and that is SS/3B. Im all about moving some prospects for an all in move and that move is CJ Abrams. You put that bat in our lineup, you eliminate a giant hole. There has been rumors that they are trying Vaughn at 3b again and if that is the case, the move is Skubal. i dont have the trade values site, but if you can get him for Jett/Adamczewski/Gasser - You do it. or something like that
  16. Royce Lewis is losing playing time and might get sent down - Very good buy low candidate. Not a lot of money and two years control if needed, Could probably get him for Lara/Wilken
  17. Has Brice Turang priced himself out of Milwaukee? I think the ship has sailed at getting him at an affordable contract. I think a 5/80 might get it done, 8/12/18/20/22 - Buy out 2 years of FA - He can still hit FA when he is 32
  18. Still better than avg. I'll take that for 1 yr if it doesn't cost a lot
  19. I mean, is that even a serious question? Of course he is, The question is he worth giving up those two guys, that answer is no. Luke Adams and something else is probably the value Whats his value on the trave value site? Below is 2024 - I mean you get this, you have something
  20. Wood is a right around 50 overall - Plain and Simple - If he moves to DH, so be it. Yordan Alvarez is still pretty damn good as just a DH
  21. Take off the homer glasses - I guess i should have said he would be our best offensive player. He's 23 years old and in his 1st full season was a 30/15 guy with a very good chacne at being a 40/20 guy based on his advance stats
  22. He would be our best player - That package is light
  23. Heard an Idea on the Fan yesterday about going after James Wood - I mean, it would take a huge offer ( higher than Yelich) but i would all about that. He doesn't hit F/A until 2031 - Pena/Pratt/Henderson/Adams is probably where it starts
  24. Circle back to Mets - Offer Megill for Baty Since the Mets added Bo Bichette, Marcus Semien and Jorge Polanco during the offseason. Baty now appears set to fill a utility role for them
  25. Reece underlining numbers were horrible -
