  2. If it were me, I'd go with number 1. It fits your overall career plan much better and provides more stability at the same time. I think it is smarter to side with some short term issues if it means you have a better chance of getting what you really want within 5-10 years. Trust your gut though, you understand what this decision means in your life better than anyone else will.
