  1. Nice play by Castillo. Gagne time. Earn some of your money you hoser.
  2. I went the same way. The problem was that the idiots directing traffic at National and Miller Park Way would let about 500 times as many cars through from the other directions before waving ahead any traffic from National. I was in the next section over and had the same thoughts. I thought it was hilarious when the one moron who was making the most noise gave this "who, me?" look to the cop and then had to climb over the fat, passed out guy to get out. Also I swear the PA announcer said "Gabe Kaplan" during Kapler's first at bat.
  3. He's on the schedule magnet. It's a lock.
  4. You recall correctly. It is NOT possible for the Bucks to have gotten Dirk. Dallas had the earlier pick and would've just drafted him if they weren't able to arrange the deal with the Bucks that got them another later pick. (I'm really sick of telling people this. It's not possible. If you think it was possible, from now you should think it was not possible. Because it was not possible. Seriously, not possible.) Also it's highly unlikely that the Bucks would've kept Redd and Allen for $15 million per year at the same position, drafted Yi if they had Dirk, gave Alston the contract he wanted if they had Ford, etc. And Murray was waived by the Pistons last month so I don't know why he was included. As for Simmons, at least he would be willing to dump salary. However, his whole career is about second-guessing moves after the fact and saying something should have obviously been different. Warrants mentioning. Kohl wouldn't let him dump salary anyway, he's been on the one-year plan for 20 years. The only way the Bucks will become a contender under Kohl is to get lucky in the lottery.
  5. The author obviously didn't know the real story with Baldelli. He's an incompetent hack, as also evidenced by his quasi-article/blurb style filled with cheap one-liners. I believe "Hench" is best known for being a buddy of Bill Simmons. I don't think an all-out boycott of Fox Sports is warranted, but their website is a different story. Take that, Jay Mohr.
  6. I thought a lot of yesterday's episode was lame. The only point of the Jin scenes were to fool the viewer, otherwise they had no content. Thankfully I had taped it so I could fast forward through some of the endless Jin and/or Sun dialogue scenes. (and why in the world isn't the word "dialogue" in the firefox spell checker?) The only thing worthwhile out of the episode is that we found out Mike was on the boat, and Jin has a tombstone that lists his death as the date of the plane crash. So it seems that what's probably bothering the 6 in the flash forwards is that everyone else is assumed dead when they're actually still on the island.
  7. The cap times had a different version of the same quote yesterday: Of course he was joking. Some of you guys are serious tools about thinking Braun is "cocky".
  8. Beer will cost $10 and the avatars on this site will be 700 pixels wide.
  9. Yeah, how else could anyone possibly form an opinion on him. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif The next thing you know people will start voting for candidates they've never met.
  10. He had to go to a junior college first because of academics and he went to one in Indiana.
  11. I'm all for trading prospects to win now, providing that as a result of the deal, we actually do win now. I seriously doubt Linebrink will make enough difference this season to offset the fact that we traded at least 6 years of arguably our best pitching prospect for 2 months of him. The potential downside of this trade is enormous; It has the possibility of being an absolutely horrendous deal that lingers for years and doesn't help that much in the short term anyway. The upside is meager in comparison; We get a good reliever for a while for guys that never amount to much.
  12. Cappy looked pretty pissed and surprised at the booing the fans gave him. Looked like he had a look of betrayal from the fans on his face. Poor Cappy. If he doesn't like it he could try NOT sucking.
  13. No, Cappy, you cannot just throw your 85 mph heater down the middle, even to the pitcher.
  14. His production so far is only marginally worse than his career numbers. Hopefully Attanasio learned a lesson by throwing his money away on this guy because of a bunch of cliché crap people said about him and his contract won't stop us from paying a better player somewhere down the road.
  15. Again, it isn't his fault that there were huge expectations placed on him. Actually it is. The expectations were so high because of what he did in the minors and considering his production a massive disappointment is plenty justified. It was unrealistic to think he should be a star player, but an average hitting 2nd baseman is a mile short of the most conservative hopes for him. I say send him down. Maybe taking the pressure off will help him figure things out, or at least he will be chasing pitches in the dirt in Nashville.
  16. I was going to vent about the terrible series in Pittsburgh, but now I think we'll be fine. The team was obviously thrown off by staying in the same hotel as the furry convention. www.brewersradionetwork.c...fault.aspx
  17. Howard's article is wrong, he simply does not know the rules. The previous post is correct, the Bucks can lose his rights if Yi isn't paid to play basketball between this past draft and the next draft. In addition to playing for a pro team in China, if he is compensated to play for the national team, that would also disqualify him from re-entering the draft.
  18. [a whole bunch of words that are not allowed here]!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. For some reason Mench run into the tag making for an easy double play. Then he kind of kept nudging the 2nd baseman along as he was being tagged. It was a funny looking play. Mench was just talking with the ump and Floyd stopped over there on his way back to the dugout.
  20. Olevia's LCDs tend to get good reviews and there seems to be a 32 or 37" for sale for under $700 almost every week if you check all of the Sunday ads from Circuit City, Best Buy, etc. Target has one this week for $688
  21. I think it makes the most sense if Michael (remember him?) was in the casket. 1) Everybody hates him 2) He's black. They also have yet to explain anything about Walt, other than they had to get him off the show because the kid was aging way too fast. This would open up a storyline where Walt and Mike have a fallling out. Plus I read on another board that they were supposed to show Michael in the casket but the actor couldn't make it.
  22. I think Bill just said Something like "abberition" That is close enough
  23. The fielding of Hall Is clearly getting better Good jump on the ball
  24. I like hit and runs Coming from the other team Give away two outs
  25. Bad job by JJ and Rickie in the run down. You have to keep on eye on the guy at 3rd and not let him score.
