  1. El Caballo!!! Score early, score often.
  2. What lineup are you looking at? He's at SS. Yeah, my mistake. He made a running catch in CF to start the game, and I made the error of assuming he was playing center. Didn't realize he was running out into CF. So, to answer your question, I wasn't looking at a lineup. I was listening to Jim and Bob.
  3. Good to see Rickie trying to steal. I'd like to see a little more of that out of him. Gotta get in scoring position once in a while - can't always sit around and wait for the gapper or home run.
  4. Good inning Dougy. Lets score early... and often. Has there been any word on who has gotten recalled? Edit: Sorry, didn't see the previous post.
  5. Eyre... doing his job and taking out the lefties. One more chance in the 9th.
  6. So much for those 2 runs the Crew just scored.
  7. Dang... what a DP for the cubbies
  8. Yes!! Way to go Geoff. 3 for 3 and coming thru in the clutch. Hoo ahhhhh
  9. Holy cow... Rickie with a hit. Let's find a way to get at least one run and start chipping away.
  10. Clark has taken some very goofy routes to balls today. Its probably the wind, but he has broken back on a couple of balls and then has had to race in to make the catch.
  11. In Fielder's at-bat, did he look like he was trying to hit every pitch out of the park? Not really. He swung at a terrible pitch for strike one. Ended up flying out to left field. He didn't look like he was swinging for the fences - he just isn't patient enough today, IMO. Maddux will make you look bad if you go up there hacking at everything he throws up there.
  12. That's about as good as you can hope for that inning. That was looking real ugly. To survive with giving up only one run leaves some hope.
  13. Is Jim Powell calling Maddux a spitballin cheater? LaRussa had the ump check the ball 3 times the last time Maddux pitched vs STL. Geoff Jenkins even talked about it yesterday on XM radio with Dibble and Kennedy. There's been talk about scuffing and other things with Maddux for a long time. Jenkins said he doesn't think Maddux scuffs the ball or loads it up, but he said he understands why some people do think so.
  14. Wow... what are these guys swinging at today?
  15. Time for Rickie to do something.... anything.
  16. Walker at-bat... Fan reaction: Gone. Where was it actually hit: Nowhere near the warning track Ahhh, the Wrigley wind. Maddux made quick work of the bottom third of the order. Back to the top next half inning, at least.
  17. Wasted opportunity. C'mon Bush... get the good stuff going again today.
  18. Prince looked like a rookie in that AB.
