  1. Unfortunate for Vinny. Hopefully he gets 1 more hit before he goes
  2. At this point I just feel bad for Capra. Comes into the season at the fringes of the roster, gives his everything in spring to avoid being DFA'd and actually makes the opening day team, hits a homer in Yankee stadium on opening day and after that its just a nosedive. 0 for his last 35, 3 hits in the entire season and a negative OPS+. I'm sure he is doing everything he can to get out of it but he is outclassed. He's got every single fan asking for him to be released and he knows this is probably his last chance in MLB and he just can't get a hit.
  3. Seriously?!?!?!? I hate overreacting but come on! Not only do we give up Yophery (a Top 10-15 guy for us who has an .866 OPS in A+) and a draft pick (seriously hurting our draft strategy for this year reducing our bonus pool) but now we give up one of the most interesting arms from the 2024 class. Priester better turn into a rotation arm for the next half a decade because this one really stings.
  4. Hurt his leg batting in the second. Cameron was in on defense at the start of the inning. Btw nice AB Cameron even thought it was an out
  5. 1.46 ERA in 24.2 innings :( Colin ReACE 2024 will never be forgotten
  6. That is surprising and I am not sure why that is considering the movement profile and how it has been scouted and performed in the minors. He's also thrown it only 60 times so small sample size etc. Then again by BotStf the change is graded at 60 (in the 20-80 scale and admitedly worse than it has performed before). He has actually been hitting his spots with the change (107 Location+) the problem is he hasn't with the fastball (76 L+). Even then, botCommand has him at 48 which is just below average. In such a small sample size we can both throw statistics at each other to prove our points and it says nothing.
  7. Missed this yesterday but whatever 13-15
  8. The changeup is undeniably good. The rest is ok. Maybe I wasn't clear Well you asked where my assessment came from. I dont know what was the answer you were looking for
  9. To Nashville but yes agreed. Needs to tinker with some stuff and regain his confidence
  10. I watched him play in Appleton, Biloxi and Nashville several times. I have heard the opinion's of people like Joseph Zarr who watched every single inning he pitched last year. I've read the things guys like Spencer Michaelis or Ben Badler have written about him and what Baseball America calls a 70-75 grade change up. I might be wrong and prospect flame out all the time, but my judgement comes from more than 4 innings of major league ball
  11. Yoho's stuff is undeniably good. So good that he really didn't need to bother with "pitching" in the minors because 21 yearolds in A+ couldn't even get near it. He was only "throwing" the ball, so to speak. The change is fantastic but he needs to develop more control. The fastball lacks speed and IVB. The sweeper is below average and I'm not too sure he should keep throwing it. It carried him through college and got him drafted but doesn't look like a major league pitch. The potential is obviously there but there is serious work to be done. He was never going to get exposed in the minors. He needed to face big leaguers to see the holes in his game. They are evident now and its time to get to work
  12. Jesus Made Made has shot up in rankinkgs like crazy. The tools are interesting. Ony thing is wait and see if he is our next Chourio or if he goes de Hedbert Perez route.Jacob Misiorowski To me, this is Miz's final year to show he can become a starter (R5 eligible at the end of the season). Control is the final hurdle. Things look good in the early going (13.5 BB% vs 14.4% last year) but I need to see ideally under 12%, or something like 12.5%Jeferson Quero Quero is staying here thanks to his track record from 2021-2023. When he comes back, we need to see if he has regained his ability to throw. If he loses another season he will start going down for me.Cooper Pratt How did we get him so late in the draft! He is electric! An ok start in Biloxi so now all he needs is to go up! Also the power looks different this season!Robert Gasser Was fantastic last year. Hope we see him in September. Tyler Black #1 Get well soon. #2 Fix that leg kick so you can hit your way into the lineup. #3 Find a defensive homeMike Boeve Another injury. This year is rough for prospects. Looked great in Biloxi last year. Would not be shocked to see him in Nashville in September (if he gets healthy fast)Logan Henderson I've sang Logan's praises for a while. Looked great in MLB. If either the cutter or the slider can become even 45 grade pitches then that is our #4-5 for the next few years.Eric Bitonti Early in the season but it is looking great. Walks are up, K's are down (please get it under 25%) and he is hitting liners like nobody's buisness.Luke Adams Early struggles but the batted ball numbers aren't bad and the discipline is there (sometimes a little too much!) Brock Wilken Has not been great to start the season, but hasn't looked awful either That HBP really broke him :( Looking for a bounceback season.Carlos F Rodriguez Rough start to an MLB career but he has been fantastic early this season. My guess is we see him again relatively soon,Jadher Areinamo I undrstand he needed work on "pitch recognition" but he should've started in Biloxi. Gotta fix that funky set up though. Don't want him to be carried by his sheer ability to hit but be stopped by higher levels with no way to adjust (a la Wiemer).Brett Wichrowski Last year was great. Hoping he joins Biloxi soon.Luis Lara The speed and defense have always been there. The hit tool isn't terrible but not spectacular and he has basically no power. On track to be a fantastic 4th OF/ Pinch runner type Josh Knoth Lost season, maybe even part of next, to TJ. The stuff and K's are impressive but we don't hace much else. Interesting guy, lets see how he does.Luis Pena Fantastic DSL season last year and opening to Carolina this year. Braylon Payne I didn't love him as our pick last year but he has been going strong and proving me wrong.Josh Adamczewski Another beast who I think we will see in Biloxi at some point this year. That swing is so beautiful.Marco Dinges Has been hitting great. The throwing is iffy but the receiving is not bad. Hopefully he sticks at catcher. Reaaally tough list to make. There's alwasy like 15 guys competing for the final 5 spots. It was between Holobetz and Dinges for that final spot. Other guys I like: Woodward (I hate injuries!), Burke, Fenelon, Hardin, Cornielle, Letson, Wood, diTuri, Ordonez, Birchard, Rodriguez, Guilarte, Anderson, Hunt, Meccage, Baez, Woessner, O'Rae, Nicasia, Langhorne, Torres, Vire, Aquino, Brown JR, Bowman, Childers, Kuehner, Yeager, Middendorf. Guys who missed: Yoho, Patrick- Pitching well in the majors. Rookies, not prospects in my opinion (even if technically speaking they are considered prospects. Durbin- Would not have cracked my list. Also unlikely to be sent down any time soon. EMJ- Too old to be a prospect. To me he is AAAA depth who just needs a chance to prove himself
  13. NEGATIVE OPS+! When do you ever see that? 3 for 43. I like Capra I think he is a good guy but he is clearly overmatched. Monasterio's .750 AAA OPS is calling me
  14. Collins was just getting hot and now he's pulled :( I hope he is alright. Also yay more Capra. Bench looking really thin today with Turang out, Collins now out, Haase who can only catch and Daz Cameron
