  1. Congrats to that Edwards kid. Anyways, WIN!
  2. I am of the opinion of waiting for next year. This year is falling off the rails with injuries. Go all in in 2025 and 26.
  3. Oh Blake come on. Also hopefully Jared is fine after getting hit by the throw
  4. Decent game by Civale. 5.1 IP 2 ER. nothing stellar but solid pitching that you would expect from your #4
  5. He looks good but losing Yujanyer hurts me. Dominant in Carolina and really good in Wisconsin. I even had him in my shortlist for the BF Top 20. Mears better be good.
  6. Man, this sucks. Mogollon was one of the guys I followed more closely than others. He was terrific last year and I really thought he would be able to get the walks down. I truly hope he and the other guys released land on their feet.
  7. I would think giving him the QO is a no doubter. You can't let the guy walk for nothing, and he is too streaky to be worth a deal over $100 million for the Crew, especially with Turang, Ortiz, Wilken, etc.
  8. Oh that was just something funny I found when looking at Hiura's numbers. Just a joke. Sorry if it wasn't clear. The other stuff is very true and indicative of his struggles to hit major league pitching.
  9. I don't mean this as a personal attack I just genuinely don't comprehend how people even discuss Hiura? The guy just cannot hit in the big leagues. I am nostalgic about his ridiculous rookie campaign but even then signs pointed at the inevitable regression. He was a nice story and I wish the guy could perform but its just not going to happen. His wRC+ ranks 316 of 383 players with at least 700 PAs since 2020, the guy is a horrible defender and his 59.1% contact rate and 38.5% K rate are the worst of those 383 players. And that doesn't even include his latest big league stint with a NEGATIVE 25 wRC+, which is 515 of 521 (min 20 PA). Small sample size and whatever but the guy just cannot hit. He is a AAAA player at best. Did Counsell mismanage him? Maybe, probably. Was spending 2 mil on him last year stupid? Yeah. That does not mean the guy can hit. Also fun fact Brent Suter's career strikeout rate is better than Keston's
  10. I don't know if I am trading Contreras at all until at least next year's deadline. Quero is injured and might never recover the arm strength needed to catch. And he is still at AA. We don't know how he will fare in the bigs, and he wont get there until late 2025 at the earliest
  11. Happy birthday! I'm sure you would love a 5-0 minor league day as a present. Enjoy the wife and kids.
  12. Come on man its Megill. Sorry to be the grammar police but the guy has literally saved 20 games. He deserves to get his name called correctly
  13. Funny call by the ump. Probably got it right
  14. A 2024 playoff run would be nice but I am of the belief of pushing in 2025. Woody will be back, we have a better chance to build a solid rotation, Chourio will be good from day 1, the Freshmen+ (Frelick, Turang, Ortiz, Perkins, Mitchell) should all be good to go as everyday players, and we still have Contreras. Its also a year where guys like Black, Wilken, Misio, Yoho, C-Rod can be contributors. I like the idea of a 25-26/7 competitive window more than trading our guys right now,
  15. What is surprising to me is that they've given up 50+ homers and they still have a stellar ERA. But yeah agreed Hudson et al are all coming back down to earth
  16. 3rd best reliever ERA in MLB. But also 3rd most homers given up by relievers. No they don't suck but they can't keep the ball in the park
  17. Got out of it! Now score 10 so we get Cy Bauers in (0.00 ERA!!!!)
  18. Zastryzny has the recent performance. Milner has a more solid resume. Honestly a tossup between the two. I like Hoby better but I don't think he is necessarily better than Rob
  19. So Zastryzny DFA and Peguero optioned when Ross and Williams come back right?
  20. Hoskins shut everyone up! Me included! Turang sucks!Come on hit a homer now
