  1. Yeah exactly. His stuff is elite but he doesn't get deep into games. And he also seems to lose his composure too often.
  2. Peralta is a good number 2. 4th in K/9, 49th BB/9, 50th HR/9, 51st ERA, 37th xERA, 28th in FIP, 28th fWAR, 25th WHIP, 8th SIERA, 14th Hard%. Not an ace or 1B type, but a good guy you can rely on most of the times. Even when he stuggles he gives his team a chance to win, In 12 starts (today included) he has given up more than 3 ER twice. Averages 5 2/3 IP per game. He is a great pitcher. at least top 40 in the league. Considering there are roughly 150 starting pitchers in the big leagues, that is really good. We were spoilt with Burnes and Woody as 1A and 1B and Freddy is not them, but lets not undervalue him
  3. 15-12 I agree
  4. Oh come on. Thats the game right there
  5. Milner got unlucky and coulnd't strand the runners but damn 4 straight K's
  6. Good fastball with slightly above average speed, elite vertical break. His release doesn't help him use it as well as he could but it is a good pitch. A good cutter with late cut that plays well off his fastball. A strong slider with good vertical movement and limits hard contact. If only he could not hang those pitches
  7. Myers has some good stuff but he hangs his pitches waaaaay to much. He will never consolidate himself as a big leaguer until he can play on the edges, especially at 0-2
  8. Man Maldonado just sucks. He used to be great defensively but nowadays he is below average at basically all defensive metrics. At least Jeff Mathis was a good defender.
  9. Played in 75 of his team's 114 games. 678 innings, 60 wins, a 1.38 ERA, 440 Ks, only 18 homers, 0.922 WHIP. Pitched every single inning of the three games in the Providence Grays' sweep over the Mets in the World Series, allowing no earned runs. Old baseball is funny
  10. Milner, Koenig, Perkins, Monasterio, Wilson, Peguero, Payamps. All guys who were seen as not good enough for MLB and that have been solid contributors over the past two years. Proven players are the best choice, sure, but they are expensive and can also backfire (Winker?). The way to go for small market teams is a healthy mix
  11. Yep and he immediately bounces into a DP. I like Miller but the guy is living off being good in May 2022 and May 2023. Below replacement for the rest of his big league time
  12. Not confident in him yet. Has been great in Nashville and strong so far with the Crew but a one-run game vs the Cubs? Not sure he is the guy,
  13. What a comeback by the Rattlers. Trailed from the secind inning onwards. Bottom of the 9th bomb forces extras and Rodriguez' one out single scores Areinamo in the 10th to win it.
  14. RODRIGUEZ LINER TO RIGHT FIELD AND SINGLES. GAME!
  15. Adams beats out a dribbler to second. Bad play by the second baseman. Took too long. Men on the corners and 1 out for Rodriguez
  16. O'Rae with a 10 pitch battle. Pitch 9 was just foul, almost a homer. Struck out on pitch 10
  17. Costello strikes out 2 and walks the next. Salas up to bat. 2 on and 2 out. Strikes out swinging with a 95 MPH fastball on the outside edge. The Rattlers can win this in the bottom of the 10th
  18. Barrios strikes out kn three straight and Areinamo at bat. Costello warming up. Grounds to short and its a double play. To extras!
