    This feels oddly like last year. 7 innings of 2-run ball by Myers and Koenig but the bats do nothing

    Attaboy Myers. Probably done considering its about to be the 3rd time through the order and he is at 80+ pitches. Really strong debut except literally the first pitch of the game. Up to the offense

    As always it sucks to see a young kid be cut, but Guerrero's 6.93 ERA over 63 innings with Wisconsin did not bode well, especially after his awful start this season.

    Against the Bravos de León who are batting for a team 0.677 OPS, 3rd bottom in the league (lg avg OPS is .790). Striking out Miker Adolfo, Aneuri Tavares, Alan García, Italo Motta and Eddy Diaz is not terribly impressive (not a single batter in the team has MLB time. Guys like Motta have never even played outside of Mexico). The best guys in the team only have a few seasons in AAA, so its like if Bauer had pitched against the Erie Seawolves or something. Not quite MLB level hitters.

    Bats need to wake up. After the HR Ross has been solid. 4K 4H 1BB in 4IP is exactly what we signed him for.

    I'm saying actually use Herget or Myers when you call them up. Don't give Uribe 80 pitches in a single week. I'd much rather have 6 really good guys and 1-2 Koenig-esque guys to eat innings that don't matter rather than having our bullpen be Martin, Koenig, Herget Zastryzny, Paredes two months from now because we misused our guys.

    I see a lot of "we're 13-6 Ima trust Murphy". I think that is short sighted. Yes it is getting results now, but the workloads will collapse the bullpen. With no Uribe, Payamps, Megill or Peguero by June we have no chance at close games. That may be an exaggeration, but not out of the realm of possibility with current usage. I love Koenig, Zastrizny and Herget as much as anyone but they are not MLB high-leverage guys.
