As well as the ever-famous line "help will always be present at Hogwarts to those who ask for it..."

Too strengthen pretendastronaut's point, I bought a laptop for college next year and decided on a MacBook Pro, just as his friends did. I've been a PC guy all my life, but the transition is seamless and Macs seem to be much more user friendly. If you need Windows that badly, as he said, you can dual-boot and install it on this processor.

This site should have no blame in this matter. I was the one who made the post on the Major League forum after getting a call from a friend in Milwaukee who said the trade was being reported "as fact" (which, apparently, it was). When I couldn't find a link, I figured there was some error, and by the time I went back to correct it the thread had been moved. Kudos to Brian and all other moderators around here. Amazing that a simple rumor could cause such a ruckus.

Let me preface this by saying I'm currently up north at a cabin, with access to all of 2 TV channels. I'm posting on a laptop from an internet cafe. That being said, I just got a call from a friend back in Milwaukee who said he's listening to WSSP and heard that we dealt Matt Wise and 2 prospects for Adam Dunn. I'm scouring the internet for a link for you guys, but I've been unsuccessful so far. Anyone hear this or have I been fooled?

Time to get the (NL) rally caps on... Come on boys, we'll need this for the World Series!

You have to tip your hat to this Nationals team. They played good, we played good, they won.

Ned, you are simply awful at managing a bullpen. Hideous.

Put my name in too, Pedro. Thanks!

I did a bit of research and couldn't find much... did anyone see or hear anything that I might have overlooked? What's the preliminary indications?

    Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

*shivers* Splits vs. Hill aren't good. Love the lineup though, let's rough him up early. Gotta love the anticipation for this series!! Go Brewers!

Pitchleague, you definitely picked a good one. Crowd was into it tonight, and that was quite the inning to experience. We had promotional tickets from the bank in section 116, just to the first base side of the plate about 10 rows back. Fantastic night.

Getaway day tomorrow... looks like we'll probably see Miller behind the plate, looking at that split against Williams.

Think that was the pitch Molina wanted after that mound visit? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Woah totally didn't realize today was a getaway day. Thought the Giants had off tomorrow, so it was a night game. I was off. Then keep that lineup, but insert Miller at C. I think as long as Rickie's wrist is holding up, keeping him in the 8 hole today could still be ok.

P.S. Does anyone else hate looking at Woogie's splits and noticing that Koskie kills A LOT of pitchers we play?
  19. BucketheadBrigader
Love that sw**p graphic, Woogie. Unfortunately, I've had to work 3:30-close at Starbucks for the last 3 nights, so I've missed all the games of this series. I hope Yost sticks with... Let's break out the brooms!!!

It seems like Ned likes this lineup, as yesterday was his second or third day using it in a row. In the Journal Sentinel this morning, it said JJ got axed because of hip soreness, so Counsell was inserted. This lineup looks strong all the way through. Stick with the Jenks/Menchkins platoon against righties/lefties (or just ride the hot hand at the 7 hole) and stick with this, and we have guys who can hit for average and power from top to bottom in this lineup.

    3TO comes through!!!! Padres lead!
  22. BucketheadBrigader
If I have to listen to Ned "tipping his cap" to Maroth tonight, like we have with 20 pitchers over the last 30 games, I think my radio will get thrown out the window.
  23. BucketheadBrigader
For a split second, thought Jenkins had a 3rd web gem of the night. Oh well. Rally time?

3 terrace reserve tickets, $18 apiece. Section 415 Row 12, Seats 1,2,3 on the aisle. Bought these tickets, and scored 3 Loge level tix for free, so just looking to pass these off to a Brewer fan in need. Will be available for pickup at the "Take Back Miller Park" rally at Fiesta Garibaldi's on 51st and Bluemound prior to the game, or around home plate at game time. Just drop me a private message. EDIT: Now selling them for $14 apiece, didn't realize that there were still Terrace Reserves available through the Brewers for this game, so face value is silly. Please reply here or private message me.

CoCo is DEALING! Mark this down. It's a landmark game. Even though Jenks carried us, it's a tough, gritty comeback win and hopefully will change our fortunes over the next few weeks.
