  1. I say pull a Robin Yount and bring the kid up, what's with all the power hype? Milwaukee did quite well with small ball in 2024, the power will come.
  2. That Billionaire seems to be more interested in Soccer right now, possibly owning a team eventually, for those who think he is all in on the Brewers, remember MLB/Mgmt threatened possibility of moving a club if their money demands weren't met for the stadium and that 14 million dollar albatross in center field that has a history of malfunctioning now
  3. Because Murphy has a love affair with Peguro and Hoby, both have had terrible years this year and I was under the impression you stay with the hands that get you there, if you would lose either Hoby or Peguro so be it you have major league ready pitchers in Nashville right now for your future. I don't think either player would probably have been snatched up.
  4. After the season ends there will be a lot of changes to the pen for 2025, you have 2 major league-ready arms ready to be plugged into the pen so losing 1-2 is not that big of a deal, just get thru the playoffs. I see another mysterious season-ending injury coming for a couple of players to round out the play off roster.
  5. Not to worry Ortiz will be the shortstop in 2025, the Brewers are not going to shell out 150 Million to Adames, unless they bring in a veteran 3rd baseman that would be Black's position to lose in 2025.
  6. Remember Mr. Craigseptember is lurking in your rearview mirror, so I wouldn't take anything for granted. 9 game lead is not guaranteed anything, stay out of wild card series and get one of the top 2 spots.
  7. It is all smoke and mirrors with Ashby, even before the injury the problem was his control and that one bad inning as a starter, Ashby is better out of the pen where 3 innings probably would be is threshold. I am glad to see the velocity but don't proclaim him back after just one outing.
  8. Let's see you extended Ashby and how is that working out, you say that he would block the youngsters, well your plan for the Miz is starting in pen, every other youngster has been used for fill-ins and unless someone blows you away in spring training, only one would make it from minors or they would be on roster right now in Milwaukee.
  9. This bullpen should never have imploded like this, Murphy went to the well(Williams) one too many times within a week, with a back issue I warned in previous remarks that his load should be lighter to conserve the back, as soon as Williams loaded the bases he should have been pulled, we will blame this loss on Murphy mis managing that pen. But it is only one and now he should have learned Williams limits.
  10. You have to play for one of the two top spots, you need the cushion of a best of 5 or 7 playoffs, not a best of three or 5 as last year proved, the 1st round playoff for Brewers are a nightmare.
  11. Here's the big question, is this the type of back injury that can still reappear? Is this surgery only for pain relief? I know people who after this type of surgery had some relief, but the issue returned after awhile. The back is a very touchy issue.
  12. Doesn't have name recognition and is not on a glitzy team, the baseball writers hardly ever write about Brewer Players, so though he should be in conversation, he won't be.
  13. It would also mess up the drafting of pitchers, scouts would have to find durable inning eaters over young pitchers with good stuff, now they need to find ones with both. But again MLB thinks they know what's best for fans. How about making games more affordable that would fill up stands.
  14. Sure wish they would make some adjustments to Peralta, isn't pitching like a #1, and almost closer to a #3.
  15. Will the Brewers repeat themselves? Usually after a flood of runs the next game or two they struggle to score runs, I sure hope they are beyond that.
