  1. On the plus side, Sheets was awesome tonight, that was great to see...
  2. I was on the fence about Yost before, but I gotta agree.
  3. I think the fans heading for the exits are trying to tell Mark A something here.
  4. Can we trade for a manager at the deadline?
  5. Please name another MLB Manager who brings in a Starting pitcher out of the bullpen on 3 days rest? This is awful managing.
  6. I hope Billy Hall is our starting Shortstop for years to come. That kind of power out of the SS is huge. He's a perennial All-Star if left at SS
  7. We can agree to disagree. But to answer your question the energy level and intensity of being in a game is much more intense than throwing in the bullpen, mentally for sure but physically as well... there is a reason why it isn't done often... Think it through a little, if such a thing was no big deal, we'd see it all the time. Seriously, who would you rather have pitching in a tight spot in the 7th inning, Capuano or Brian Shouse? *edited for spelling
  8. Absolutely. Huge difference between bullpen sessions and actual games. Please point to another example where a MLB manager has done the same thing with success.
  9. I've been advocating that the Brewers re-sign Lee, but thinking about it more: with that kind of fielding Lee really should be a 45-50 HR 150 RBI guy to make up for it...
  10. Are there any other examples of big-league managers having their starters pitching in relief on their "bullpen session" days? It was a Bush League move (couldn't resist the pun)
  11. As intelligent baseball fans we really need to question whether Ned Yost can take this team to the next level...
  12. Carlos dodging hand grenades again...
  13. I'm pinning this on Ned Yost. Seriously. There is a reason that noone else has their pitchers throw in a game on their bullpen session days.
  14. Is it reasonable to understand that there is fairly big difference between a bullpen session and actually pitching in a game situation? Regardless of actual pitches thrown?
  15. I think there is alot to like about a high school pitcher that can hit the high 90's with his fastball. Plus he's a great athlete. He might end up being a closer though rather than a starter
  16. Maybe we can trade Turnbow in a package deal for Willis?
  17. I gotta believe that Jorge understands that tonight's game could be a major step for the rest of his career...here's hoping he steps up
  18. Mabeus lost his composure after that HR...
  19. Well, I was wrong... (it was 8-3 when I posted my optimism, right after Prince went River)
  20. Prince is the man! And folks, this game is not over. This is the 2006 Milwaukee Brewers we're talking about...
  21. It is not a make or break series, but I do want to see the Brewers play more consistently and get out of their habits of going on losing streaks on the road... winning or splitting this series would be a good step for this young team
