I know Branyan is God's gift to baseball, but why the hell did they send him home with 1 out? Insane.

David Arquette threw out the first pitch today, and wore the number "420". Classic.

[ Wait, why was the word "sweep" banned in the first place? ] It's evil and wrong.

[ Am I wrong in saying that the Brewers have historically been horrible against Rookie Starters that they are not used to batting against. ] The Brewers have some experience against Belisle... This isn't like where a kid gets called up from AA and looks like Cy Young.

[ Murton dove for a ball, missed it, and it rolled to the wall..... but as I type makes a sliding catch to end the 3rd. ] He's also been making weak throws all day...

Matt Murton is a bad, bad outfielder.

I'm not sure what the mystical age would be, but I'm sure it varies by how much time was spent pitching, and not on the DL. The less mileage on the arm, the higher the prospect rating. Jones and Parra didn't spend 4 years in college, so I would think that they have a longer prospect "shelf life" than a kid who graduated from college and toiled around in the minors without much produciton. Parra and Jones are both good pitchers when healthy, and still prospects in my opinion. However, if would agree with patrickgpe that 26-27 becomes the cutoff line. Of course, there are players who buck the trend... So I don't think Parra or Jones should be euthanized on their 26th birthday or anything http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

[ Too bad it's always the same few people who can't carry on an intelligent discussion if their life depended on it. It's shame, since the majority of contributing posters, despite having opposing viewpoints seem to be able to. ] I agree. Back during the election, I had a lot of great conversation with people who had opposing viewpoints. I learned a lot, and I would hope they got some insights into my points of view. It turns ugly when people bring out viewpoints from the more extreme players from the left & right. The only other choice is to start banning posters who are otherwise quite civil when it comes to baseball... so, unfortunately, I had to make a choice.

In 1982, the Milwaukee Brewers led the league in runs and home runs and earned the nickname Harvey's Wallbangers (A reference to their manager, Harvey Kuenn). Relive this magical year through the eyes of those that were there including Paul Molitor, Robin Yount, Rollie Fingers, Jim Gatner and more! 2007 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Milwaukee Brewer?s appearance in the World Series. The Brewers will be wearing commemorative patches on their uniforms all season-long and the team will be celebrating the anniversary at every Friday night Home Game this season. 2-DVD Set includes the full-length Documentary and the entire Game 5 from the 1982 ALCS vs. the California Angels. I really don't have a set "price" on ads on the site. It all depends on where you would want it, and what it would look like. Or, I suppose I could add a new "sponsors links" section on the links page, and we could do it that way as well.

I suppose it might not be a bad idea to allow people to create their own set of links that can show on the Brewerfan.net home page in case they use it as their browser's home page. Another tip, you can make bookmarks that show in the top of your browser (not in your bookmarks dropdown) for your most frequently visited sites. I use that quite a bit.

Cantu actually hits righties better than lefties, which would make him an un-ideal platoon mate. However, if I were to be able to pick & choose between him and Graffanino, I'll take the younger guy with more upside.

I'm sure if anyone had an inkling of a Capellan trade rumor from any source, they'd post it immediately. With that said, I couldn't imagine anyone picking up Capellan to automatically be their closer.

[ I wish brewer fans werent so pessimists. We could do this but you guys just are so negative when it comes to these types of big deals. Come on guys! Be upbeat some more now! Maybe if we put some pressure on Doug Melvin and the new owner we can get them to put the trade through thisyear. This is the year guys! 2007 world champs baby! have some little faith now! ] I'm about as optimistic as it gets when it comes to Brewers fans, but the deal you proposed just isn't realistic. Us "putting pressure" on Doug and Mark A will have no impact on the Red Sox biting on a totally lopsided deal.

[ That doesn't suprise me Brian....Sorry If I don't have the same sense of humor as you and can't state my opinion. ] I didn't say you couldn't, but I could certainly state mine. If you're going to dish it, you're going to need to take it.

[ Exactly. It's Ned's own reverse psychology attempt. Of course, that lineup may only look successful in his mind. ] ....and on the third day, Ned dropped acid.

[ it might have been a joke, but it wasn't funny ] So why was I laughing? [ ....it was old the first time he wrote a post like that. ] Guess not. Weird that the guy who rarely understands sarcasm (Brewers77) and the guy who's had a bunch of run-ins with "tha law" (BCU) would put up such a stink. What wonders never cease.

[ don't think you're going to be getting too many diggs since you have to be registered there in order to dig something, just lettin ya know. ] Considering there are tens of thousands of digg users, I figured at least a couple must here at Brewerfan. I wasn't implying that everyone digg each story to artificially inflate our exposure.
