[ One thing I don't understand is why do the Brewers need 3 guys that can play 3B? ] If you corner the market on 3B, the laws of supply and demand favor you. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

[ we know the injuries and timeframes for the DL guys? Perhaps a new thread pinned at the top of the forum could serve as the "Current Minor League Rosters Thread" or "Minor League DL thread", updated only by administrators like the draft signings forum ] I'll try and incorporate that kind of thing into the main site.

But then a judgement call has to be made on which polls are "useful"... I suppose a moderator can single one out every now and then and move it to the major or minor league forum, but i'd hate for them to become some sort of popularity contest.

[ The biggest thing wrong with this team is that they don't seem to realize that players like Magruder and Durrington are not major league ballplayers. ] Magruder historically had done pretty well against lefties to this point, and Durrington's only here because TWO starting 3rd basemen (who were carrying .800+ OPSs) went down. Poor teams just can't get a solid bench like rich teams can get, because you pretty much have to throw all of your money in your starting 8 and then roll the dice on injuries. Magruder's days are numbered with Hart ready and willing to be Jenks's platoon partner (at worst). Branyan will be back soon and Cirillo won't be too far behind. The sun will come out tomorrow.

I blame those fat cats in Washington.

[ Now he's down to Durrington as the lone PH left. ] Doug Davis is pretty hot right now.

Hey fellas, i've had to delete two posts that have used abbreviations or asterisks to represent the f-bomb. I know it's a frustrating game, but please observe the rules. EDIT: Make that three posts.

Any change the IBB Obay to get to Jenks?

A bunt? Let the second-guessing begin http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ... at least once the results have come in.

I'm going to go on record by saying PHing for Sheets is not my favorite idea.

A bunt by sheets sure would have hit the spot, there.

[ It is really getting to the point with me where I would support trading Jenkins for absolutely nothing. As long as we shed his salary take him. ] The problem is, no other team is to the point where they would even consider taking Jenkins and his salary for "free".

[ Also predicting a Geoff Jenkins BOMB. ] I've heard the military is still in the process of getting those to work. The prototypes worked really well, but when they started relying on them, they fell apart.

[ What about running polls on a weekly basis on the main page and have people suggest ideas for it? ] Are you implying that I should keep the same poll on the home page for nearly a year at a time? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. Brian the Automator
Polls drive me nuts (and yes, I realize this is a poll). I hate them with fire. They bubble to the top of the forum their in until people stop voting on them. Below are some different options i'd like people to consider.

[ May I ask when this signing took, or will take, place? ] In the future. It would appear that the information we got on this one would be a bit premature.

Any more Eveland kids?... How about a catcher.

Brewerfan.net is pleased to be the first to report that Jemile Weeks is in the fold and has decided to sign with the Brewers. Congratulations to the Weeks family and to the Milwaukee Brewers.

[ Braun gets a single and an RBI in his first professional at bat. Salome is 2-2 and Helena is up 6 - 1 in the fourth. I know it's early but this looks like it might be a great team out in Montana. ] Actually, Braun's first bat was an RBI sac fly, his 2nd AB was a single.

[ Darron and Bill get a lot of grief on this site but let me tell you that it sure was enjoyable to listen to them giggle for 20 minutes after Princes bomb. It was hilarious how excited they were. Everytime they tried to talk they both just started giggling. Totally funny. That was a blast. ] I felt the same way sitting there watching it from the RF bleachers. It was absolutely beautiful. I don't know if i've ever seen that much elevation on a Miller Park HR.

what a amazing game and an amazing time at fanfest. i don't think i could have asked for anything more from that game.

[ A cash feature where you would get say $1 per post. Then if you get say $3,000 you could exchange it for a brewerfan t-shirt or something like that. You could also exchange the cash for the ability to use a signature, get an avatar, post in certain areas. Just an idea ] I'm not a fan of that one. The number of useless posts would skyrocket.... plus, I don't have the money to dole out for t-shirts http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
