  1. Is that all there is, my friends? Is that all there is?
  2. Homer feared that there would be a riot tonight if Suppon punked us tonight. Well, he is. How can this be? What a joke.
  3. Luc throws seem so much more accurate this year Now let's get some runs!
  4. No batter is 100% successful with sacrifices so that better not be your expectation when judging strategies. Sacrifice attempts result in 1 or 2 outs a non-insignificant amount of the time, so that needs to be considered. Did I ever say that its 100% successful? They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.
  5. Too close for comfort. The defense really made tbis one harder than it had to be
  6. I've been thinking about how I'd describe this game. I'd say it's "not pretty." It's not yet, "ugly." To me it's not ugly until you are more than a run or two away from "respectable." I think 8 to 4 would be respectable, so right now it's "not pretty." I wish the game was more entertaining so that I wouldn't have thought about that so long. Officially ugly now

  8. Cool. Seems to work with Google Reader. Thanks!
  9. Thanks
  10. Is there an RSS Feed for the new forum? I can't seem to find the icon or URL for it.
  11. That's quite creative. Did you come up with that twist on your own? I assume that the rule would apply to both leagues. That would be a huge improvement.
  12. This makes sense to me. The next home series is against LA on the 17th (a Tuesday). Or wait until Friday the 20th vs COL. It could pick up attendance on the LA weekday series, so I'd go for that one. I agree with AJAY in many respects. They are the facts. You can't overlook what happened to end the season and the post-season. I don't know what the other options are besides fondybrewfan's suggestion of just postponing the banner hanging. Besides, there is going to be enough energy in the STL series. It's not like we need to pump it up more with a banner hanging.
  13. I thought twice about posting it, but like I said, it's something everyone is already thinking after hearing that news conference. Oh, and for the record, I posted it an hour before the Michael Hunt article. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/conspiracy-aside-brauns-sincerity-shines-through-634aqd3-140333773.html.
  14. I think it goes without saying that the Ryan Braun sample collector/courier is a highly sought person right now. The media must be trying very hard to find that person or person(s), as it may be a father/son team, or something like that. Should their identity remain hidden? Will they be compelled to come forward to say their side of the story or will they remain in hiding? Do you think someone goes to the press with the scoop because there's a good chance they've already talked to friends about it? If they are revealed, would they be hassled so much that we have a mini-Bartman situation in Milwaukee? I can't help but wonder about all of these things at this point after that press conference
  15. Verducci on MLb Network is saying that players he talked to think Braun is innocent. That's quite a difference from last night when MLB Network was slamming him, particularly Byrnes.
  16. I'm feeling a corner being turned here with the media... they're no longer talking technicalities and saying things like "getting off"... and saying Braun's name in the same breath as OJ and Casey Anthony, I hope this momentum continues and the right angle is taken on this story going forward
  17. Bob Costas on MLB network: Braun raised "reasonable doubt" and "I think he's going to get past this" And we know the weight he carries especially in these matters.
  18. To expand on this, he is saying that Braun's camp was actually able to repeat the process and not only show how the sample became corrupted, but also produce and identical result of an insanely high test result from that process. http://twitter.com/#!/injuryexpert Unfortunately, I was hoping this whole thing was going to come out in the Conference... "repeat the process and not only show how the sample became corrupted, but also produce and identical result"... That would have been a killer.
  19. But is it too late? He said that crap and it created a firestorm of negativity towards Braun.
