  1. As a Sprint investor, I'm definitely alarmed; but I do believe they've positioned themselves well going into the iPhone launch. They've done away with a lot of the extra features (premiere rewards program, return policy, 1-year contracts, unlimited tethering to name a few) and raised a few fees (upgrade/activation and insurance) in order to be able to keep their unlimited plan at the same pricepoint even with the influx of iPhone users, and even with the diminished profit margin that selling Apple products yield. The whole time Apple was showing off "Siri" today, it just made me think how that's yet another very data-heavy use of your phone and I think Sprint being the only carrier with truly unlimited data could be a reason for some people to switch. I realize the vast majority of people don't even use 1 GB of data a month; but for once in the last 5 years or so, they actually have a competitive advantage over the other carriers that's not just price. Now Sprint just needs to do away with WiMax and build out their LTE network as soon as possible. Their October 7th "4G Strategy/Network Update" should be revealing and I'm hoping for good news from that front.
  2. They had some here in the Shopko in La Crosse. I know it was a part of their storewide sports sale (either 20% or 30% off?) and I remember it being a very reasonable price. I also agree with the clubhouse sale sentiment. I remember buying 2 extra clubhouse Wild Card T's "just in case they never make the playoffs again in my lifetime or in the near future". Needless to say, I'm glad that hoarding mentality turned out to be a waste.
  3. Come on Hairston/Braun -- make sure Prince gets another AB
  4. Aroldis Chapman facing Reyes this inning. That bodes well for Braun
  5. Reyes 2-3 = 0.3364661654135338 Braun 1-1 = 0.3357271095152603 ETA: Welp, I'm slow -- I'll leave that job to you from now on http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  6. I've been monitoring that market, while I wait for better prices http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. Supply on stubhub has been increasing every day, currently almost 12% (that's about 1 of every 8 seats) of NLDS tickets are for sale there. Some of the lottery winners will add to that. There may also be people waiting for the actual schedules to be announced before deciding if they will sell or not. I've been monitoring as well and have been essentially the same conclusions as you. This morning has been interesting as it seems a lot of lottery tickets have already been added but are being bought at about the same rate. We've been hovering ~4600 tickets all morning with a lot of tickets being added. I have a few tickets I'm going to need to sell and I'm definitely waiting to put them down to a competitive price until after the dates are set in stone. I'm sure the tickets will move in inverse directions depending on if we play Sat/Sun vs. Tue/Wed. Also, my ticket rep just confirmed that they're waiting until we win the NLDS before charging the World Series tickets. October 5th if we sweep, October 7th if all 5 games.
  7. He went back on a ball and was fighting the sun. The wind exasperated things and the ball ended up dropping maybe 2 feet to his right off the wall.
  8. Mike Pelfrey with an 8-pitch RBI ground-rule double. Gotta love seeing that against the Cards
  9. Yeah, we can't give luc a free pass. He has been struggling too. He did this last year, if I recall. He may just be wearing down a bit. Considering he's gotten full 9-inning off-days like 4 whole times this year, I don't blame him...
  10. Which I seem to remember being completely untrue in '08 (correct me if I'm wrong). As long as you were ~2 hours early you could get a spot in the lot. With that said, I got 3 parking passes for our crew just to be safe.
  11. Somebody needs to tell the Brewers to stop swinging at everything. I can't help but feel like Volquez has thrown ~75% balls and yet we're swinging into weak groundouts and popouts.
  12. Good call - I don't want to see any odd magic numbers until 11 or lower.
  13. Mark Derosa doesn't need to touch third base... http://sanfrancisco.giant...tent_id=18527415&c_id=sf
  14. Brenly just spoke of Yuni, "great range and a cannon for an arm, Yuniesky...." ... ... ... I'm glad we didn't hire him for the managerial role in '09.
  15. In 2008 one of our 20-pack holders was a UW-Madison student and decided to go to the UW - OSU football game instead of NLDS home game 1. His $25 Terrace Reserved ticket sold for $168 on Stubhub. Needless to say, solo tickets will sell just fine when the time comes.

  17. BA just put it into perspective. We entered this roadtrip up 6.5 and we're likely heading home 10.0 up. I'll take it
  18. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I like that you actually took the time to calculate ~75% point of a game.
  19. It looks like you can order covers from SI.com for $19.99 for unframed 11x14s. Seems like a decent deal
  20. According to the Brewers it should hit newstands today.

  22. Dodgers doing everything they can in the ninth here to help us extend our lead.
