  1. Fitting that Lorenzo Cain breaks up the no hitter I guess
  2. I've begun making said proclamation after yesterdays win.I've bitten my tongue to this point. 10 feels like a good time, if it comes.Fair enough. I think if we weren't all paranoid Brewers fans used to disappointment these types of proclamations would have been made a while ago. With out starting rotation I don't see us blowing a crazy lead like we currently have.
  3. I've begun making said proclamation after yesterdays win.
  4. Thankfully not. I love having pitchers that are above average at the plate
  5. Wow, pissed off Roenicke on his birthday. That was such a different post-game presser compared to most of his.
  6. I would recommend staying at The Westin Convention Center in Pittsburgh. It's where the team stays while they're there and you'd have a good chance of meeting some players. I got in a couple minute conversation with Prince and Mike Cameron, got to see the entire team hanging out in the lobby before going to dinner, saw Yovani, Villanueva, and Uecker getting nice and liquored up in the hotel bar, and even got stuck in an awkward elevator ride with a slightly intoxicated Telly Hughes. The incline is sort of cool. It's definitely unique and it takes you up to a great view and some decent sort of dive-like restaurants that we enjoyed.
  7. Tony Gwynn is just a smart player. He knows if he can just hit the ball to Prince his odds of getting on-base skyrocket.
  8. The offense isn't in trouble. It's going through a lull right now.Not to mention we're facing a top-3 NL pitcher today...
  9. I know it'll be impossible to even consider selling the tickets if it ever came down to it; but I seem to remember Terrace Reserved seats for the World Series in '08 pre-selling on Stubhub for $450 - $500. You can almost bankroll the entire World Series just by selling one of the games. I did find some of the World Series ticket prices a little strange. Loge Bleachers for $125 while Terrace Reserved are $150 and Terrace Box $175? Terrace Box being the same price as Loge Outfield seems a little strange too.
  10. Agreed. And how good could our bench look when Gomez and Weeks are back? Hairston, Gomez/Morgan, Kotsay, Counsell, Kottaras/Luc It will have gone from a huge weakness to what I would call above average. Any bench with Kotsay and Counsell can not be considered "Above Average" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  11. I would also be very interested if someone in Terrace Reserved could give their total. I need to see if it's worth trying to get downgraded from Terrace Box or not.
  12. I was just going to start this topic as I was transferring some tickets this morning and noticed the postseason information on the "My Brewers Tickets" site. We also were combined like Hawing. We have two different 20-packs; 2 seats in Terrace Box and 6 seats in Terrace Reserve. All 8 of our seats are together in Terrace Box for the playoffs. I shot a quick email to my rep who promptly responded telling me "Information is being sent out this week. They put all tickets together within an account for the most part.". It's a catch-22 as I'd love the terrace box seats but myself and my other poor college students struggle to come up with the deposit for terrace reserve as it was http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Our total came to $2225 for 8 terrace box seats in the NLDS & NLCS. Maybe ~$30 for NLDS games and ~$55 for NLCS?
  13. Lopez really does need to be DFA'd. With Yuni all of a sudden hitting we can definitely afford to do so with JHJ and even Wilson starting some games. I'd rather have Wilson that Lopez out there.
  14. I had two extra tickets for our big group outing this Saturday and decided to throw them on Stubhub. I was expecting somewhere around $10 for our crappy Terrace Reserved seats way in the corner for a game against the Pirates. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the going rate was more than double that and I sold the tickets for $22/each. There's definitely a noticeable buzz surrounding this team now that should hopefully translate into the accounting books too.
  15. I don't understand why everyone's being so hard on Krod? He's only blown 2 games, and both would have been easy innings with even average defense.
  16. TLR just trying to save his PHers in case the game goes long into extra innings. He's only got 4 bench players. Still, I pinch hit for Edwin there 100% of the time; especially if you're going to Motte anyways.
  17. Marlins first PH HR of the year. Couldn't have picked a better time.
  18. Good lord; how many times did Coshun say the word "Cruising" that inning? ETA: And now he starts the next half inning telling us how much we "Cruised" against Bud Norris...
  19. Wow, look at Happ's game log. He truly is not a good pitcher. He hasn't had a scoreless outing all year, and only 2 where he gave up 1 run. Hopefully we can continue beating him up.
  20. Wow! Safe at first and it looked like Yuni was off the bag at second (not that that doesn't happen all the time). I'll take it!
  21. This strike zone is seemingly boundless here in the early going. Low, outside, in, high; the zone is expanded.
