  1. That's probably fair. No reason not to call up Gamel to play first or DH though
  2. I'm so glad we didn't call up Green or Gamel. Having Kotsay and Counsell in our lineup at AL parks must just look embarrassing to them.
  3. Casey's tough luck continues. #*&$ing David Eckstein out there
  4. Wow what is Braunie swinging at there? Thankfully he's got that long long bat.
  5. Man, who would have thought Nyjer Morgan would have a .347 batting average after 95 ABs with us?
  6. Now we need a long inning (which is a joke considering the bottom of our order) to give Marcum a nice water break.
  7. There's nothing more infuriating than a close pitch called a ball only to extend an already long inning.
  8. Nyjer's gotta feel pretty salty after jarring with an entire section of seats before that AB.
  9. Corey has had 5 good games and the rest, quite frankly, have been bad. He just cannot lay off the slider away. He laid off it just fine in an earlier AB. And I don't have the ability to go back to the 9th inning AB, but I think the last one would have been a called strike, anyway. You're right. In fact, I'm fairly certain Hart was trying to lay off that slider on the strikeout until he realized it was going to be in the zone and by that time it was too late.
  10. Time for some Yuni redemtion. He's about due to do something good for this team when it actually matters...
  11. Any chance that Axford goes on a nice run here over the next month and could become an All-star? Before our eyes he's now up to 17 saves with a 3.06 ERA.
  12. Jay, Pujols, and Berkman against Loe? I'm getting physically ill....
  13. I generally dislike the sac bunt; but I like the move there with no outs and Braun and Fielder up next. I feel like 3-0 is a huge upgrade over 2-0 tonight. ETA: Sac bunts don't matter for home runs...
  14. How is it horrible? If the ump made the correct call, he would've been safe. Maybe because if Prince took any resemblance of a secondary lead he's safe by a mile?
  15. C'mon Prince, there's no excuse there. Get a secondary lead for God's sake.
  16. So far Ron is out LaRussa-ing LaRussa with the safety squeeze and hit-and-run
  17. Beautiful piece of hitting by McGehee there and a nice hit-and-run call from RRR. Good stuff
  18. Agreed they should be flipped but I still like this lineup. It's the 8 position players I want on the field most.
  19. I agree with this 100%. There's no reason to hold on to him even on our bench either. He brings absolutely nothing to this team. If anything, we can use the addition by subtraction logic. Wilson and Counsell splitting the starts at short would be much better than Yuni. At the very least you get good defense and some resemblance of situational hitting.
  20. Good AB by McGehee. The exact opposite by Yuni. Unreal.
  21. Niese's stuff tonight + the bottom of our order = horrendous results and embarrassing at-bats.
  22. Results justified the move http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Surprised they didn't go to Braddock there though with the ptichers spot likely coming up next inning
