  1. Sit down Goldy! If AZ can't do it here I'm out and I'm on PDT
  2. In Black's defense now that I've seen the tape, he had Naylor struck out on the "checked" swing but another terrible call; he probably finishes easily if that's called right.
  3. "The fresh memory of Ryan Braun's grand slam still very much on the mind of Cardinal fans."
  4. As they say on KMOX This could be a devastating blow for the Cardinals
  5. Manny first pitch swinging, anything to stop that horrible horrible booing.
  6. The last 3 straight winning seasons were the 6 from 78-83. And thanks for the tribute to Naperville's grittiest coach.
  7. 538 gives the Padres the pitching edge in every game; Brewers have the other edges and overall.
  8. Watch this Lise. You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half. And . . . now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tFDsL_mwBY
  9. I thought the same thing. That was horrible. The [um] outfielders are going back and the [um] Milwaukee team has the lead. Maybe he was just in shock. I looked it up, he just turned 80. Thanks for the link; it's great hearing them all. Profundo!
  10. /starts counting all the hands on heads. I love this. Absolutely love it!!! I count at least 10 full surrender cobras. My nephew texted it to me before the top of the 9th was over with the comment "Beautiful" The KMOX replay is available and hearing the Braun and Thames ABs does not disappoint. After a minute or so of minimalism they come up with "This could be a devastating blow for the Cardinals."
  11. I am confident our plucky lads will pick up the 0.7 WAR for the last 10% but the loss of seeing him play, go for the first ever 50/30, etc., is a big one. I now refer to the pre-injury days as The Beforetimes.
  12. I passed this on to my nephew without attribution after he said the rain is our best closer, now he thinks I'm a witty guy.
  13. Agreed, the guy on the team I'd most want to have a beer with. I was at a spring game at the Angels' park this year and he was chatting it up with a fan about his golf game while he was on deck.
  14. Most of the country saw Dodgers Red Sox, which had Bellinger's 31st and pretty much nothing else.
  15. We weren't going to go tonight but we have friends in from Whitefish Bay for their son's wedding so now it's all three. The UW Club's tailgate is tonight. I'm hoping the Pads will be drained from the weekend, but they were out of all of the games late save 2 9th inning surprises so their back end isn't all that bad off.
  16. 1st and 2nd were occupied and it was less than 2 outs I have been watching baseball a long time and that is news to me. Or I forgot. Thanks. if you have little kids playing baseball or softball you learn that pretty fast; sometimes dropped 3d strikes are half the offense. It's why you have to steal 2d before strike 2!
  17. They got put in in stages over the last 5 or 10 years or so. $600-$1000 each with food and drink except alcohol included.
  18. Be careful there wearing opposing team colors... I used to live in LA, and always went to see the crew. Typically you are just fine as far as violence goes unless one runs their mouth off, but I can definitely say that few fans have been as heckling as those in Chavez Ravine to my Brewers hat. I got hassled a bit last night, never had before, I think they don't like Braun jerseys or losing 5 straight. The assault this year wasn't an opposing fan thing.
  19. I was there last night and saw maybe 6. When the Brewers scored I could see 2 other guys cheering. You see a lot more in San Diego. Also a few more in Anaheim on Monday.
  20. FTs cost the Marquette game too esp Davison
  21. A lot of the fun left with Nigel and Bronson.
  22. Haha just tweeted them and the broadcast kicked in right away.
  23. I'm getting the Brewers broadcast on Sirius and the Cubs broadcast and all others on mlb.com but not the Brewers one on mlb.com, anyone else having issues?
