  1. Cards are pretty much done but still have to go all out tomorrow so that's good.
  2. You can get the FSWI broadcast for free on mlb.com, if you're out of the blackout area at least.
  3. Gameday is accurate. A huge bad call on the 1-0 to Cervelli.
  4. Best case scenario overall is the Brewers win the division and the Cubs, Cards, Rox and Dodgers finish in a 4 way tie. If the Brewers and Cubs finish an a tie that'a break for the 2d WC team.
  5. I did initially on mlb at bat. I was listening to the pirates broadcast until about halfway through the 1st. Then I was fine. Thanks same here. In time for the HR calls at least! Cain with the smile and hat tip, the best.
  6. Anybody else having trouble getting the radio broadcast?
  7. The Brewers won the NL Central in 2011 by 6 games. It was never lower than 4.5 in the past few weeks. They were tied for the lead at the All-Star game. The season does not fit the they always start strong and then fade narrative that seems so common here.
  8. I was there too! 2d game of a DH they'd last the 1st so even worse. Some bum came up to put the first few on and then our close Irish Tom Murphy came in to the jig. I still remember how stupid that jog sounded at 6-6. As I recall it was 5 in the 10th so 11-6
  9. The Dodgers had 1 baserunner after the 2d - a 2 out single in the 5th. They saw 2 pitches with a runner in scoring position. The only time they had a guy on w less than 2 outs the next pitch was a DP.
  10. The Brewers were 1-9 RISP but 3 of those were productive outs that led to 2 runs so maybe that stat can be misleading at times.
  11. I don't know what the odds are of winning when you are down 4, but tip of the cap to you for this one. Home team down 4 in the middle of the 2d has about an 18 percent chance of winning. At the end of 4 it was down to about 9.
  12. JJ had to get 4 outs and if Votto catches a foul pop Yelich's HR might have gotten Hader the W. I'm more appreciative of Aguilar's D after all that.
  13. i think fans tend to be too critical of managers and rely too much on hindsight. Pads fans are a lot harder on Greene as they were on Bochy than they should be, e.g., I think it is inherent in fandom. Sometimes players have to make plays and stuff happens. That said, pulling Williams was indefensible. You are 1 out away, no one in scoring position, the only guy on was a fluke on one way out of the zone just finish it and get out of there. Plus the rain came during the pitching change. And this one isn't hindsight this whole board knew it was a mistake.
  14. Marlins Marlins - Top 6th GUERRA PITCHING FOR MIL Realmuto singled to right. Castro singled to center, Realmuto to second. Bour walked, Realmuto to third, Castro to second. JEFFRESS PITCHING FOR MIL Anderson struck out swinging. Shuck fouled out to third. Brinson struck out swinging. 0 RUNS, 2 HITS, 0 ERRORS
  15. Nice play by Broxton but he was dead all the way.
  16. Barnes failed when he walked Duda when that is the last thing you should do. Yep that's why Counsell pulled him good for him.
  17. The Brewers 0-4 last 4 times with a runner on 3d and 1 out over the last 2 games so I'm OK w not bunting even given the result.
  18. As far as I know they have. I've mostly seen them troll, terribly, the cubs. This one I like though. They had the results to back them up and stl made a terrible choice in wording. Yes I have zero problems with this. They asked for it. Plus, Cardinals. After Fowler struck out and came out to RF my son yelled "you can only hit in Colorado." Fowler flipped him off and then went 2-2 and scored what was then the go-ahead run.
