  1. Watching again from a balcony overlooking Petco great to see live baseball even from a distance. Let's do this thing
  2. Pads are leaving a scrub in who can't throw strikes. He got a KC on a bad call.
  3. Can we loan Hader and Williams to the Pads and Rays for the day?
  4. Pads pulled Tatis for a PR in the 5th and he just doubled in a run.
  5. The Cards can't go 31-29, since once they hit 30 they close out the Giants because of the tiebreaker. The last game would only be for seeding and they aren't playing games for only seeding. They would go ahead of the Brewers at 30-29 though if they win the 1st. If they split, or the Giants lose, the Brewers are the 7 with a win.
  6. 538 now has the Brewers at 65%, Giants at 25% (they need 2 tossup games to go their way) and Phillies at 14%.
  7. The Brewers had a .227 WHIP over 22 scoreless, now .304 over 23.
  8. I wish Ueck had called it. I remember his call in the 9th of the 20-0 game: "there's some activity (or movement) in the Pirate bullpen; they're jumping over the fence and heading home."
  9. I was wondering if they were last in OBP too thx for clarifying.
  10. Or at least supplement the title of this thread!
  11. Everyone has Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl except ESPN, which had Wis in the Taxslayer Bowl week ago so they're a joke. The Fox guys made a good point that Wis played OSU closer both times; PS was down 21-0 and there was never a time they looked like they might win.
  12. Everything about this is great. So happy the Nats won. And not just bc my nephew is a lifelong Nats fan. Hoping Stras can join Kawhi as SDSU MVPs.
  13. My brother was at the game - his main takes: 1. There were about 12 Brewer fans there total (hi MD!) 2. The fans had completely given up on the Nats until Hader started struggling. TBS did a pretty good job showing the guys burying their faces in the towels etc. but you had to be there to feel how dead it was. 3. The AB of the game was Hader v. Michael Taylor. Everyone was amazed when he PHd, and it was kind of a surprise he was even on the roster. It was like sending Shaw up there. If he gets him, 2 out and none on and the fans start heading for the exits. If he gets on, wow he can't even get Taylor out. They got ripped off on the HBP but why is he even going 3-2. Why throw the slider on 2-2, just blow it by the bum. 4. For a gut-wrenching loss, really not too bad. It probably helps that he'd rather they lose to the Nats than anyone else. But this whole month has been playing with house money. Once Woodruff went out they were dead. Once Yelich went out they were really dead. They were 7.5 out of the division not too long ago. i'm bummed since I had a ticket for LA on Thurs. night if they made it. But it is what it is. It was a successful season for me. BTW everyone talking about ending with 4 straight Ls who cares about Sunday, don't count that one.
