What an at bat by Grisham!

He may not run them, but that's by his choice. He still bears the responsibility for them. He's the President of Baseball Operations, so he's accountable for the roster, the draft, the farm system, contracts, coaches...everything. Of course he is responsible for everything......but no GM runs the draft.........its funny when Melvin was here Jack Z got all the credit when we had good drafts.......when he left Seid got the blame for the bad drafts.....now we are blaming Stearns instead of the scouting director.
  5. markedman5
Stearns doesn't run the drafts anymore then Melvin did.........

Since Yelich trade Traded for Moose.....trading for him and then getting him back for another year. If he wasnt on our team last season then we likely don't get him on the cheap this year when the market drops out from under him. Signed Miley when almost everyone on Brewer fan thought he would suck. Signed Grandal Picked up key bullpen piece in Soria Traded for Lyles which has helped keep us in it this season when injuries and underperformance hit our rotation Traded for Gio.......then resigned him this year when we needed a competent starter Picked up Kratz Again not all tbese are block busters but they all helped us win the division last season or gave yes a chance this season.......and in some cases both. If anyone expects blockbuster trades every off season I don't know what to tell you.......other then it ain't happening.

Gamel went in for defensive purposes after Braun's last ab..... Think we will see that a lot going forward.
  9. markedman5
    All the lefties!
  10. markedman5
Thames struggles vs lefties......so of course he destroys one vs Lester!
  11. markedman5
3 up 3 down on weak contact for Suter....... Works fast......throws strikes.......gets outs
  12. markedman5
    God I've missed Suter
  13. markedman5
Just as we all expected......Austin gives them the lead.....lol
  14. markedman5
Braun had an MRI before game.......to make sure no structural damage.......he was unavailable......said he will see how it is tomorrow.
  15. markedman5
You mean you saw it on twitter......
  16. markedman5
In your wildest nightmares could you imagine that this is the lineup we would have available to,us with our backs against the wall vs the Cubs in September?
  17. markedman5
Taylor has been called up......because of Braun and Cain's less then ideal heath status......
  18. markedman5
Considering Grandal is one if the NL leaders in walks I would say he knows the zone pretty well......most of the calls he questions are indeed balls.....the one tonight was obviously a good pitch.
  19. markedman5
    Good to have Suter back.........
  20. markedman5
Nice to see Jimmy sitting at 95
  21. markedman5
    Ugly
  22. markedman5
Walks have been such a weakness for brewer pitching this season. Hard enough to limit runs with the juiced ball without being one of the worst teams in baseball at limiting walks.
  23. markedman5
Playing from behind is no fun
  24. markedman5
Chase throws 4 fastballs that all.muss in the same spot to start the game......nice
  25. markedman5
Lol who would have guessed. You are right. Not sure what the point is in putting a player on the DL in September with the unlimited rosters. I think they needed to do it to recall Bote earlier then the 10 day waiting period.....
