  1. Some pretty classless plays on Fukudome's name by the Chicago fans. That you could define as trashy.
  2. Did anyone else wince when Braun slipped coming out of the box?
  3. Prince looked like he was hobbling around out there.
  4. Sheets has been 88-91 so far according to ESPN.
  5. I hope the ump gives Sheets those low strikes in on right handed batters.
  6. Can you wear stocking caps in the field? I didn't think you could. Apparently if you're Ryan Braun, you can.
  7. By Ryan Hunter, he clearly meant Ryan Braun. I think.
  8. According to ESPN, we have Mark Cameron, Tony Gwynn Sr. and Ryan Hunter.
  9. Edit: The new Power 50 is up! Click here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Power 50 returns tomorrow, April 1st, for the 2008 season. Also returning is me. After taking a year off, I will join Brad, Jim and Patrick in making the Power 50. The plan is to update Brewerfan's prospect list on the first of the month throughout the season. The four of us look forward to bringing you our take on the future of the Brewers organization. You can get to the Power 50 simply by clicking the "Power 50" link on the menu at the top of the page. Between now and tomorrow morning feel free and guess what you think our top 5 or top 10 is, and post your own! Just for fun, here are the 13 guys that received votes from at least one of us, but didn't have enough votes to break into the top 50 prospects in the organization: 51. Chad Robinson, RHP 52. Zelous Wheeler, 3B 53. Rolando Pascual, RHP 54. Dan Merklinger, LHP 55. E.J. Shanks, RHP 56. Efrain Nieves, LHP 57. Shawn Zarraga, C 58. Rafael Lluberes, LHP 59. Donovan Hand, RHP 60. Patrick Ryan, RHP 61. Jose Garcia, RHP 62. Jose Romero, LHP 63. Joey Paciorek, 3B Should also note that the #22 prospect from the final Power 50 of last season, Callix Crabbe, made the Padres' big league club and will be taken off the list. Congrats, Callix!
  10. I had to rewatch it a few times, and I'm pretty sure he said "erratic", but this is the call I heard from Joe Morgan on the foul ground ball to Ryan Zimmerman in the 7th: "It sure did have some... erotic... spin on it."
  11. 88 wins sounds about right for the Brewers. I don't know that the Cubs will make 90.
  12. -I really hate how much WWE wants Batista to be over. They could have made Umaga tonight, but instead just had Batista winning with a dumb Batista-bomb. Boo. Waste of a match that could have been a good one. Edit: -I pay $50+ bucks for a PPV and the ECW title changes hands in 5 seconds? Edit 2: -Ric Flair's last match comes before BunnyMania and Show/Mayweather, not to mention the Heavyweight/WWE title matches? This is a disgrace. One or two of these matches are going to have to be really long, too. I just hope the women's match isn't 45 minutes. Edit 3: -That was a solid, but not great, match between HBK and Flair. Sad to see Flair go after all these years.
  13. Go Nationals.
  14. -The 24-man battle royal was over with in about 10 minutes. Kane beat Mark Henry in the end... looks like another WrestleMania loss for Kane later on. Edit: -JBL works way too stiff. They should have kept him as a commentator. Only one really good spot in his match with Finlay, where Finlay dove through the ropes to the outside and got nailed in the head midair with a garbage can lid. Bleh. Edit 2: -The Money in the Bank ladder match is always one of my favorite events. The crowd wasn't into this one for some reason, but there were great spots for the whole 20+ minutes including *another* few great Shelton Benjamin spots. CM Punk was the surprise winner, for sure. I never had him on my radar to win it. I did call Matt Hardy costing MVP the match, tho. Edit 3: -Howard Finkel introducing Mae Young makes me giddy.
  15. My guesses: -24 man battle royal... I would have said Kane until Henry lit up Chavo on Smackdown last Friday. I hope they don't try to turn Henry babyface, but Kane just seems too obvious. Kofi Kingston may be one of the last few remaining... he looks ready for a bigger push. -BunnyMania... Maria and Ashley over the Glamazon and Melina. Where's Mickey James anyway? -JBL over Finlay. They didn't do enough to build up this match, IMO. -Batista over Umaga. This could be a really good match even though it's pointless. -Money in the Bank... Mr. Kennedy. Wouldn't be surprised to see Matt Hardy as a surprise entrant and ruin MVP's chances. Jericho is the only other guy that makes sense. -Shawn Michaels over Ric Flair. Still surprised this isn't the main event. -Big Show over Mayweather. Eh... this could be terrible unless they get inventive. They aren't even sure who is heel and who is face. -Undertaker over Edge. Edge doesn't stand a chance. -HHH over Orton and Cena. Cena is filming a movie so he can't defend the title at house shows and Orton has had a long enough run for the moment.
  16. Ozzie Chavez should be playing SS almost everyday in Nashville for the moment. He's certainly not blocking Escobar. I'm surprised as well at Escobar's assignment to Huntsville.
  17. Are you going to lambeauleap.net or the forum page at http://lambeauleap.yuku.com/directory?
  18. -Cheerios -Grape Nuts -Peace Raspberry Ginger -Graham crackers and (vanilla soy) milk -Quaker Oatmeal Squares is all I need.
  19. I love watching Paula Dean cook. She reminds me of my grandma and great aunt cooking. Their southern accents weren't as thick, but the food looked (and tasted, I imagine) just as good.
  20. According to this article, Callix Crabbe has all but made the Padres' 25-man roster. Congratulations to Callix!
  21. Gindl's throw to get DeRosa at home was the highlight of the game for me.
  22. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/1bf25974a7910d9e96027cc68b5fa1e375d98c8.jpg
  23. FWIW, McClung is less than two months older than JDLR.
  24. Life As a House and United 93 are the two most recent movies to make me cry.
