  1. This game is getting difficult to listen to. Bad defense, bad pitching, Kent Sommerfeld doing play-by-play, boo. Every statement should not end like a question, Kent? Please stop? Go back to your other duties? Let's get Brian Anderson back in the booth? Bill Schroeder is suddenly the non-grating one?
  2. Holy Andy Bouchie sighting! Nice to see the kid get some work behind the plate.
  3. That's a situation where you're gonna want to keep the Levis up, Jesse.
  4. "Hey baby... you diggin on the long ball? Cos I got..." finish that how you want.
  5. "Hey baby... you diggin on the long ball? Cos I got..." finish that how you want.
  6. We need to keep rolling. Remember that division lead we blew against the Cubs last year? It's gonna happen again unless we battle hard in this one. Why is Dave Bush still in the rotation? He has an ERA of 18.00. We haven't won all year with him.
  7. We need Jason Kendall to carry us tomorrow. The season is getting away from us. Did you see our relieving against the Padres?!? Those guys looked like minor leaguers except for Turnbow!
  8. I live in the eastern part of the St. Paul metro on the Minnesota side, and I got all the broadcasted Brewers games last year on Extra Innings. I know that isn't a 100% answer for you, but between my first-hand knowledge and Casey's research I imagine you'll be safe.
  9. Not usually. Since it isn't a official game, no record of it is kept by MLB. Edit: And I thought they were going to use the DH instead of pitchers through the week?
  10. Sheets can't have thrown more than 15 pitches so far. I wonder if he'll go one more inning.
  11. The female mind, by men, is underrated, quite vastly.
  12. Bob Dylan and Requiem all in the same night??? NOOOO. No.
  13. The person who sent the BF.net email had the name Frederick somethingoranother IIRC.
  14. We're officially being Custed.

  17. Yah, there are two sides to addiction - the drug itself can be addictive and/or the person using the drug can have an addictive/compulsive personality. It's usually a little bit of both, but someone with an addictive personality will make a *relatively* non-addictive drug like marijuana a very addictive habit. Hope he's able to kick the habit for the sake of his career.
  18. Hardy's career OBP is .321. A .321 OBP is better than 11 teams got out of the SS position in 2007, better than 10 teams in 2006 and better than 17(!) teams in 2005. Granted shortstops have lower offensive output than most positions, but one of the best ways to judge a player is to judge him against players at his position. He holds his own even if it is middling to a little below average. I'd say it is much closer to "decent" than "very poor." This is not to defend any notion that J.J. should bat anywhere near the top part of the lineup. His best spot on this team in the #7 spot. That more a credit to how strong the rest of the lineup is than anything else.
  19. Ah, the dog days of late February. We're going to have to grind this one out.
  20. Ben is too easy of an answer to me as to who is in the casket. It makes a lot of sense, but this is Lost. Being that the events of the close of season 3 could have taken long after they were on the island, or even Kate's court case, I think that the casket belongs to Aaron. How they're screwing with timelines lately, it wouldn't shock me if that episode's flashforwards took place at different times. The casket seemed abnormally short to me and while Walt's name was tossed around here in the previous season's Lost thread, that doesn't make sense to me. Speaking of Walt, Harold Perrineau, the guy who plays his father Michael, has been a credited cast member since the first episode of this season after not being credited in season 3. He still hasn't appeared on screen but I have a feeling it's going to happen any time now.
  21. I *hate* those cheers (not just for Bonds, for everyone that gets the treatment). That's one thing I'm not looking forward to hearing from the Miller Park faithful this year.
