  1. Man... I cut open a package of tofu this evening to add it to some stir-fry and boy-oh-boy, did that stuff ever look tasty! The way it slithers out of the package, all protein-y...
  2. By Yellow Fish, they probably meant Yellow-Fin Tuna. My three favorites were tuna (of any variety), salmon and haddock. Smoked salmon always sounds tempting.
  3. Bobby Fisher. Edit: On the subject of utilitarianism, Peter Singer is a jerk. Edit 2: David Hume?
  4. I guess that depends on what you expect out of Sheets and Martinez. I'd put Suppan as our 4th guy... Carlos Villanueva could outperform John Maine this year, IMO.
  5. At first blush, it seems like the Twins could have gotten a lot more. None of those four have had much big league experience (Gomez had ~140 PA, Humber has 9 IP). I mean, they're all good prospects and the Twins might have gotten the CF they were looking for. Just... not what I would have pictured them getting.
  6. Stay away from me. To answer the original question, none.
  7. I just want to open up the topic for a little bit of conversation with the following thoughts: -I was expecting a lot, lot more from the Orton/Hardy match. Hardy did all he could, IMO. The ending was weak and Orton was being too stiff about almost all the spots. It ended about 10 minutes sooner than it should have. I'm not often one to complain about the shortness of matches. This one could have been pretty epic. -The Jericho/JBL match was also disappointing. I'm not sure why JBL was falling over for most of the match, and Jericho did a poor job wrapping the cord around JBL's neck at the end. The end of this match was lighter than the end of the match where JBL strung Jericho up on the lighting tower. Jericho was a bloody mess... it seems as though JBL was the guy that let the match down. -Flair looked slow and flaccid the whole match against MVP. I'm a huge fan of MVP's future and Flair made him look like he was jobbing at some points. The final figure four took like 10 seconds to put in. Ridiculous. -Edge and Mysterio was decent PPV quality. It deserved the slot it got. -Santino Marella is one of the more entertaining personalities in quite some time. His hepatitis line during the in-ring with Maria and Ashley was gut-busting funny and his entrance into the rumble itself was awesome. Big props to that guy. I hope he keeps getting bigger pushes. Teaming him with Carlito is a potentially ingenious idea. -The rumble was pretty good. Without getting into specifics, the people I was watching it with all loved the Bob Holly spots. Morrison lasted a pretty long time. For some reason, Shelton Benjamin keeps getting disrespected. Snuka vs. Piper was great stiff work by both. Cena coming out at the end was totally out of the blue. I have to admit that I got a little closer to the edge of my seat when it was HHH vs. Batista vs. Cena at the end.
  8. I warmed to the idea more as the offseason went on. I'd still like my team's odds of neutralizing any positive impact from Feliz if we are facing a Phils fly-ball pitcher in either stadium.
  9. 1) I just ate a bag of Orville Redenbacher microwave popcorn in under 3 minutes. Yummers. 2) I recently purchased vinyl recordings of Wilco's "Being There", Elliott Smith's "XO", The Band's "The Band", Massive Attack's "Mezzanine" and My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless". I would purchase Modest Mouse's "The Moon and Antarctica" but it's way too expensive. I'm going to frame the record cases to hang on the wall, and buy a record player at some point. 3) I washed my car today. The line at the SA (Super America to anyone not in the know) was 20 minutes long for the autowash. During this time I listened to the middle third of The Mothers of Invention's "Freak Out!"
  10. I'm very disappointed in myself. I kept gravitating to INXS and Duran Duran album art instead of the other way.
  11. Looks like the guy who does Ayn Rand's art, Nick Gaetano.
  12. Turns out Rambo wasn't quite good enough to beat out "Meet the Spartans" at the box office this past weekend. Ouch.
  13. I just did a quick eBay search for 'lcd 7" vga' and got a bunch of results. Is this like what you're looking for?
  14. Most people would argue that Philip Glass isn't entertaining. What's your point? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. The hair doesn't fit, but he kind of looks like Philip Glass.
  16. Call me crazy, but The Holy Grail is my third favorite after The Meaning of Life (due to the closer resemblance to the show) and The Life of Brian.
  17. Cheerios, Organic/Regular Grape Nuts and Raspberry Ginger Peace Cereal on rotation have kept me going for years now. Mmm.
  18. IF he did it to himself or not, there's still the young daughter to be thought of. Surely you must feel some sympathy or heartache for her? Or maybe other family members?
  19. Considering I've had maybe 10K posts here given all my user names, it's just a counting stat. You have to start a WHOA SOLVDD thread to get into the hall. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. The minimalist composer? Yes. For some reason, I had never given him a serious listen until the past few weeks. I've just been eating up everything I can find that he wrote.
