  1. To answer your question, Barnwell and Clark are the two main SSs now in Nashville. Rottino can play there also, but not very effectively. Abernathy would be worse.
  2. Corey Hart now has 11 stolen bases in 99 AB's with Nashville. And here I thought 6'6 guys couldn't run fast. When I saw that Inman gave up a run, I moved him off the Power 50.
  3. IIRC, isn't this the second time a botched Miller sacrifice has won us a game?
  4. Yay for Damian! Can he play SS? He has good mojo.
  5. Ryan Franklin is still in? Neat. Billy Hall is also neat.
  6. Yay. All you Turnbow haters, eat it!
  7. If goes on the DL who do they call up.. I almost think you bring up Hart though that would only leave you one SS on the roster.. That's a good question. There's no one in Nashville on the 40-man who can play SS. Barnwell and Clark can play SS pretty well, and Rottino could hack it there probably. Ironically, Enrique Cruz would have been the best option a few days ago.
  8. Shouldn't Turnbow be batting in the 2-hole? Maybe MLB Gamecast has it wrong.
  9. Well, on the bright side... if Hardy goes on the DL, we can get that 14th pitcher on the roster.
  10. Intenionally walking Jenks to get to Lee? Wha? I really hope this backfires on them if only for the stupidity.
  11. Brian Shouse owns Bobby Abreu. Put that one in the file.
  12. http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_114031.jpg Sal Fasano... EEK!
  13. Didn't see this mentioned, but Doug Davis with 127 pitches tonight. My arm hurts for him.
  14. I just want him used, period. But not in the 8th under those circumstances. It's an away game, so there'll always be the ninth if the Padres don't score in the 8th.
  15. Can't disgree with Latin Cappy in the 8th. If you think T-Bow needs to come in to start the bottom of the 8th in a tie game, I think that speaks more to our bullpen that Turnbow's usage.
  16. If you guys want to pay for gas (which would be more than $30), I can come and strike out a few times for ya'll with my Julio Franco batting stance.
  17. Now that's surprising. But from Rillo, always expect the unexpected!
  18. People don't like me because I think JJ is crap and Billy should start. 1) What proof do you have that J.J. is crap? 2) Who here says that Hall shouldn't start somewhere virtually everyday?
  19. On the bright side, Double-D is finding ways to get on base this year.
  20. Laureano (who made his Power 50 debut at #47 last time) is a tall, lanky kid, sort of in the mold of Luis Pena. With some solid effort this year, he could emerge as a good relief prospect. His height lends to natural leverage on his pitches, and he's stayed pretty healthy through the important years for a pitcher. The future could be pretty good for Wilfredo.
  21. Because we don't need a thread about Sheets not being out for the season, this be closed. If it turns out that Sheeter is out for the season, woe be upon all of us doubters.
  22. I'm giving this another 10 minutes. If no one finds anything, then it is being locked.
  23. We'll let the thread live for awhile longer, just in case. In related news, I'm cleaning my potato gun.
  24. New thread title? "2006brewers out for season"
