  1. Have to give an 'atta boy to the Brewers offense for bouncing back after Sheets' rough inning.
  2. Who'll finish with more homers this year, Weeks or Branyan?
  3. That is a shame about C-Ram. Arm troubles kept him out of ever being able to show off his good sinking stuff.
  4. Salome with another error (that makes 7) and 2 more stolen bases (out of 3 opportunities) off of him. 6 errors for Helena tonight. Eck.
  5. Gamble could be really, really good. Just needs work on his off-speed stuff. Right now he's Kane Davis-lite.
  6. p092.ezboard.com/fbrewers...=576.topic Also, using creative spellings to avoid the cuss filter will result in warning, then dismissal. Yost didn't botch sh*t. Warning warning warning.
  7. Supercalifrag- Alisticexpeali- Dotious Helms is not
  8. Cheese sandwiches all Eat them and type your haiku Go Brew Crew and win
  9. Braun needs to go to WV, and Gamel needs to start every day in Helena. Braun can (or really shoud be able to) hit in Rookie ball. Let's see what he can do with the Power. And, yah, Steve Hammond should probably go along with him.
  10. Duke's AAA numbers with Indy are eerily similar to Hendrickson's AAA numbers with Indy at around this time last year. Hopefully he'll struggle like Hendrickson at the outset, too.
  11. That suprises me that Minnesota only has one. Their farm system is nominally equal to the Brewers, yet they decide to fill gaps with system players and not with outside help.
  12. Carlos Lee has driven himself in 22 times. Everyone else on the team has driven Carlos Lee in a total of 21 times now. Ay.
  13. Maybe the other Corey Hart was talking at the time?
  14. We won't know about Arizona until the early AM.
  15. I tried to convey the importance of Weeks' and Fielder's first of many (400-500+?) HR's to a Twins fan while watching tonight's game and he mearly grunted. Oh well. It was a great, suprising game, and neat to see Johan lose his first road game in his last 17 road starts. We, the Brewers, made him 15-1. Heck ya.
  16. What a weird comparison, where did that one come from? Even if you admit to comparing absolute apples to oranges, Rasheed at least has had some success as a pro, and has progressed since his frosh year at Lake City CC. Opdyke has done nothing. But they are both such extreme walk/stike out guys that it is hard not to notice the comparison. Rasheed has struck out at about a 1/3+ clip , as has Opdyke. Rasheed makes better contact, and is the better defender, but neither will make it if they don't improve.
  17. Rasheed strikes out a lot. He's like the CF, stolen base version of Brian Opdyke, with a little quicker bat. I have a hard time seeing him as anything. Have to get jacked up about Steve Hammond's start though. College pitcher or not, throwing strikes right and left here.
  18. I'm jealous I didn't get to go to this game (stupid food poisening/cluster headaches). What a FanFest game to remember, no doubt. Go get 'em, tomorrow, Crew, but let us not mention once the "sw" word until it it over with.
  19. As someone else alluded to, the Cap'n has been demoted to Sargeant, and that will be reflected on the next Power 50. Though I might have been drunk. Who knows? Steve Moss is basically the upside of what Josh Murray could have been, had Murray been an outfielder. Moss has made more of his tools, though even so, he has a bit of work to do at the plate to become a bona fide MLB prospect. He's been a streaky hitter (mostly on the bad side of streaks), and he needs to get that ironed out.
  20. Hey, I've loved Steve Moss from the very beginning. I've been hacked to pieces over the last few years for his high P50 position. www.brewerfan.net/ViewPow...ayerId=350 Hasn't been any lower than 29 in the past 2.5 years. Speaking of the Power 50, there's going to be a lot of love for Will Inman here pretty quick.
  21. With the way some of the college guys are hammering the ball in Helena, it looks like WV and Brevard may indeed get some of the reinforcements they have been looking for since the first week of the season. Eveland and Sarfate deserve a promotion to AAA, as do both of the Cruzes. As SoCal pointed out, Iribarren has done well in A-ball again, and he has about 3/4 of a season under his belt there now, so he should move up. Tauby and Villanueva should both move up from Brevard soon, though none of the WV pitchers (especially starters) are especially worthy of a promotion, though you could make arguments for Wahpepah and Kloosterman, plus maybe Stanczyk.
  22. I also want to give some love to Steve Chapman for another stolen base tonight. With his tools, he could turn into the next Steve Moss pretty quick. And Katin in as a pinch runner? Ryan Crew must be slower than dirt. Nice to see Morrison with a nice outing. He's a decent sleeper relief prospect.
  23. How about the Darren Ford bandwagon? Represent.
  24. "The necessities keep me very comfortable. I don't like having anything nice because I always screw it up." "Because I know that I won't be facing Billy Joe that just came up from ninth grade. I'm going to be facing damn men that got 30-year-old beards and may be popping steroids." I LOVE this guy!
  25. You know the whole "what does Toby know about jack-squat that I don't" sort of threads that have started to surface in response to the Power 50. Hey, I'd love to respond to this stuff with no threat of reprisal from my Brewerfan co-founders here. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I was watching Super Millionaire on GSN the other day and I thought that we should have something similar to the whatever-they-are-called smart guys. If we could have a forum here with the forum-voted 10 or so best posters there, I think that would help to condense the good thoughts without stuffling the particiapation on the main forums. I'm all for it, even if I don't get voted in. My first four votes go to Colby, DHonks, Robert R and 1992Casey right off the top of my head.
