  1. I'd still trade Jenkins edit: sorry, just woke up from a nice nap, read the thread, was commenting on all the Jenkins love going around
  2. So Rooter got a contused ego. Our bench is starting to dirupt my constitution, and our road performance is starting to fracure my spirit. Our bench is all srictured up, and our pen is all hemmorhaged. Melvin, time to get on the phone and shake things up a little. Al Leiter is starting for the Yankees in Boston today...don't they have ANYONE we'd be interested in? 4th outfielder, bench middle infielder? someone???
  3. As for the article on MB.C hinting more transactions, I think there was a small thread here where Brian hinted that Bennett may be called up. He's hurt, but how bad? Could that be the transaction? Also, I am no Jenkins fan, and the one good thing he does is step into pitches and turn his back. It is a sneaky way to get hit, he sgteps into it, then doubles his surface area that could get hit. Rooter sounds like a bruise, so a Krynzel,Cruz or Hart sighting does not appear eminent.
  4. And I was right after all, Rickie wins it!!! with a balk...
  5. now we may be screwed. Overbay lays down a suicide...
  6. well, Weeks would have won it if they weren't afraid of him
  7. Wowe, we battlered, hustled, gamered, and hard workered our way to a leadoff double
  8. It will end this inning with Weeks, my powers of foresight far outstrip those of Toby
  9. They are trying hard to get Eveland in the game
  10. Well, it Has been a while since Weeks hit a walk off HR
  11. Russell Branyon: "Singles? We don't need no stinking singles" He never lets up on his swing, does he
  12. Turnbow has been stunningly good lately. It almost seems eerie how little trouble he has gotten into in his last bunch of games.
  13. Now all we need is for bottalico to... oh crap, maybe with nedly out, a 2 inning minimum for relievers is not required. Don't think Dana gets the call, but I still would like to see him out there
  14. apparently we don't want to win this one anyway, so don't get too mad. PS. Toby, I mentiones scarborough a while ago, I'm still on board, can't be worse, and he has occasional pop
  15. Hey, Bill's pimping No Named steaks again. They must be a subsidiary of the Good Feet Store.
  16. Oh, oh, reitsma's hurt, hey Atlanta, Bottalico is available. Are you interested?
  17. Wow, even Carlos is going all out to lower Botallico's era, even he is helping us trade him. Nice catch the horse
  18. I knew we were pushing our luck with Botallico, one inning was enough, now we need to get lucky
  19. B unting, running bases, costly errors, these are the reasons why our record is not where it should be. My gandmother would have known not to send Brady home on that one.
  20. Win or lose, ending the first half on a 3-4 or 4-3 road trip in Florida and Atlanta is a positive even though it could just as easily have been 6-1. For a team that plays as poorly on the road as we do, I am relatively happy with just 3, I did not expect as much coming in.
  21. Genius...Now I see why Turnbow was up, Now he can get the save by getting only one out with no one on! Amazing that Yost new this would happen. Don't worry, it was all planned. (yes, all that was sarcasm)
  22. I have zero faith in any of our relievers not named Matt WiseMan, I know I can get a little hard on Turnbow, but he has been great lately. Most other teams would give their right arms for production like that at closer (I kind of hope they do, and throw in a left arm or two with him)
  23. The last time we had a 6 run lead and didn't bring in Wise, we lost and everyone got mad that we didn't bring in Wise in stead of Betallico. Now we bring in Wise, and everyone gets mad. I kind of would rather just win, and Wise is the best option to do that. After the last couple of games, just win this one.
