  1. This team looks like the houston astros during away games. It's really amazing how different they play on the road.
  2. Yeah Patrick, it was the first time a Brewer hit a HR in an all star game (only Arizona is left) and the first Brewer to be named All Star MVP.
  3. The All Star Game was pretty good. Helped that Fielder jacked on out but I'm glad the game wasnt low scoring.
  4. I'll see you guys at miller park for game 1 of the World Series! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. He had an illness with his vocal cords (and almost lost it), he's still recovering. Also Keith Bell is pretty cool.
  6. It was a new rule instituted last year that the DH will be in effect for the All Star Game regardless of what ballpark its in.
  7. Worked good the other years, why fix whats not broke? MLB tried to conceive of some NL vs. AL showdown in home runs which I dont think works that well for a home run derby. The players each side brought were not necessarily the best home run hitters. I think the fans should vote for the home run derby participants because I think can do a better job at picking than MLB or the players. Give the fans the right to pick Home Derby Participants while sacrificing the ability to vote for the all star game. I certainly do disagree with almost all the players Fielder brought. I dont think Weeks should have gone, or Halliday. Kemp was the only guy i thought would do good (and I was obviously wrong). I dont know if it was the ballpark or the players but there was just a lack of home runs hit this year. Physics were on the players side this year with the high elevation so I'm thinking it was the players.
  8. Yeah the Derby wasnt all that exciting. The crowd also wasnt into it, there were barely any woos when a homerun was hit. The idea of having team captains didnt work out either I dont think. I hope MLB just goes back to the old format next year.
  9. "back back back back back", gonna get annoying tonight.
  10. The Homerun Derby is probobly my favorite part of the All Star Game festivities. Was never a huge fan of the game itself as it usually just turns into pitching duels.
  11. So what happens if the team is performing poorly? Do tickets go below face value then?
  12. The guy is a legend and will go down as one of the all time Yankee greats. It's commendable he will spend his entire Baseball career with one team. Grats to Jeter.
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com...lb/news/story?id=6708046 There ya go.
  14. I knew we'd wouldnt do well against Boston but I did expect 2/3 from Tampa.
  15. I wonder if the ump would have called that if a Ray did what Morgan did. Sometimes i think the umps conspere against the Brewers on purpose.
  16. Saw them both. =(
  17. I'm craving a good movie on Netflix. Any suggestions? Could go for an action thriller or some sort of drama or a comedy. Thanks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Besides that first inning Gallardo is doing well.
  19. that or the Red Sox are just a much better team than the Brewers are They are better but the Brewers have seemed to play historically bad @ Fenway.
  20. Is Gallardo even going to be able to make it out of the inning?
  21. Interleague play is always fun, getting to see a team we rarely play. It's too bad the scheduling gods have us playing the best teams in baseball but what can you do.
