  1. Who's the guy next to Sizemore in that picture? Is he a player?
  2. I heard on BBTN or someplace that this was the 3rd fastest ejection in baseball history. I don't remember the names, but they said one guy was tossed after he hit someone on the first pitch. And the other guy got ejected before he threw a pitch for arguing with the ump because the ump thought his sleeves were too long.
  3. I totally agree with what most people are saying. This guys sounds like a jerk, and I was glad all the radio stations were ripping this guy today. I heard 2 different hosts talking about it, and neither of them had a good thing to say. If I was in that situation, I'd hold out for a bat or something. But I think it crosses the line when you ask for another players things. That's just ridiculous.
  4. So you think loading up security in the front of the stadium, and kicking runners out wouldn't stop people from running? It would sure stop me from running.
  5. If the whole intent is to cut down on running and stampeding, wouldn't the logical thing to do be ban people from running?! My idea is to have the "Home Plate" entrances as the designated Autograph Friday's entrances. Open those gates like 5-10 minutes before all the others, and load that area with ushers and security. Make signs or announce that if you run, you get kicked out. I'm sure that would be a big hindrance. This would also cut down on people running in from Friday's and the right field entrance because they would open 5-10 minutes later. It just seems logical that if you want to cut down on running, you do something to ban running. I just don't see how forming lines outside the stadium for wristbands is going to help matters much. In my opinion, that would be total chaos. If you give out 90 wristbands that aren't guaranteed, wouldn't people just run into the stadium so they get as far up in line as possible? In the past I've thought it just made sense to put signs up at different entrances outside the stadium, have an usher or 2 watching that line, and then once the gates open, the usher could walk that line into the stadium. So instead of listing the sections where the players will sign, list the entrance where the player's line will be. But I think the system is fine as is... as long as they find a way to eliminate running.
  6. Yeah, they were packaged in Styrofoam. But just a warning to people looking to buy one of these... at the park, I saw/talked to 3 people that had gotten 1 or more of the talking ones... The one guy got one, and it didn't work. Another guy and his family got 2, and 1 didn't work. And another guy with his family got 2, and neither of them worked. They all went to guest relations to try to trade them in to get a working one, but guest relations didn't have any and would only exchange it for a regular one. But just looking at that small sample size, it looks like there is a possibility of a high percentage not working. So if you do buy one, make sure to ask/stress to the seller that it works first.
  7. Thursday I'm planning on going to the game with a couple of friends and we plan on going to Friday's before the game. But is there a set time you have to be there by for them to allow you into the stadium? Like if we got there 2 hours before the game, would we be able to go in? Or would we have to wait for the gates to open? Thanks.
  8. I was just wondering if anyone by chance had an extra nesting doll set from 2005 (I think) where Rickie Weeks is the biggest doll. PM me if you have one you wouldn't mind parting with. Thanks.
  9. I still need one. I sent you a PM.
  10. I laughed out loud when Michael was parking his car at the beginning of the second episode, I believe. I laughed when he couldn't parallel park in that large space, but when he was crawling over the seats to get be able to get out of his car... that was hilarious. I thought both episodes were good, but I liked the second slightly better.
  11. I would also be interested after Razzzorsharp gets one.
  12. I have no idea what is going on with Michael. I was absolutely shocked when I watched the end of that. But after reading everyone saying they thought he said "I acquit" I went back and checked out the closed captioning... and the closed captioning said he said "I quit"... if that means anything.
  13. Yeah, I don't expect the Badgers to do much next year. I could actually see them in the bottom 3 of the Big 10. There are just too many "if's" with them. But I think they will struggle both offensively and defensively. On offense, the team was not very good this year. They had their stretches where they looked great... but it seems like every game they go through a stretch where they go 6+ minutes without scoring. Landry may not have had the senior year a lot of people expected, but he was pretty much their only go to guy in the post. Leuer and Nankivil had their moments, and I know they were only sophs, but a majority of their post moves are for jumpers... not lay ups. And that's what killed this years team at times: They didn't have anyone that could get an easy bucket, so when their jumpers weren't falling they struggled. On the defensive end is where I think they will have a big drop off. Even at 6'7'', Landry was by far their best post defender this year... and it wasn't even close. Neither Leuer or Nankivil seem to have what it takes to defend the post consistently. They may only be sophs, but when Landry was a soph, he defended Oden very well. And Krabbenhoft usually defended the oppositions best wing player... and next year that duty will be left to Jarmusz and Wilson. I see a pretty drastic drop off there. So I think they may have a big time drop off on D. So next year, Hughes, Taylor, Bohannon, Jarmusz, Leuer, and Nankivil will be the main guys. They all have their strengths... but in my opinion, they all have pretty major weaknesses as well. We basically know what we will get from these guys. Wilson and Berggren fall in the players who will be needed to contribute next year, but they are unknowns. It would be great if one or both of those guys came out and contributed positively immediately. But they will probably both have growing pains and be inconsistant. Gavinski, Markof, Evans, Diamond Taylor, and Bruesewitz are probably guys that won't contribute much, if at all, next year. Gavinski hasn't shown anything yet. Markoff and Evans are projects. And Ryan just doesn't give freshmen many minutes. And by the way, I hate trying to compare Bruesewitz to Krabbenhoft. It's just because they are white guys who are pretty much the same size. Joe averaged 18 ppg as a senior in high school... but he's been offensively challenged at UW. So I'm guessing the Krabbenhoft now is not the Krabbenhoft most fans expected 4 years ago. Anyways... Go Wisconsin!! This could possibly be the last tournament time this team sees in a couple years.
  14. Molitor is in a Twins Uni. They have a picture of it on their site.
  15. The last page of your Season Seat Holder Handbook is a coupon for a free media guide. I have to take it to Guest Relations.
  16. The Snappers announced their 2009 bobblehead giveaways today. I'm sure the Paul Molitor one will be a pretty popular one, but the other 2 are pretty bland. To view the press release, go HERE or: The ever popular bobblehead giveaway returns this season for three dates featuring Hall-Of-Famer and former Minnesota Twin and Milwaukee Brewer Paul Molitor, Beloit Turner High School alumni and Texas Rangers draftee Kyle Murphy in his Turner High School uniform, and Beloit Memorial High School and current Oklahoma City Thunder guard Kyle Weaver in his Memorial High School uniform. Bobbleheads are given to the first 500 fans through the gates on those dates.
  17. Thanks A TON!!
  18. I'm doing a project on Excel, and have the following question: I'm using a formula, and taking numbers from other columns on the page and using them in the formula. But in these formulas, I would like the box to remain blank if the formula contains a certain number from a specific column. This is hard to explain, but say I have the following formula: =((3*N2)+(5*O2))/B2. I would like a number appear in the box if the number in the O2 column is anything other than zero; but if the O2 column has a value of zero, I would like the formula box to remain blank. I remember doing this in college accounting, but can't for the life of me remember how to do this. Any help would be great. Thanks a ton!!
  19. He wasn't ejected... He came out an argued a bit about a Duffy check swing called a strike where the bat hardly left his shoulder.
  20. That was THE WORST call on a check swing I have ever seen!! And I totally agree with Brenley. How can an umpire track the ball and watch the bat? Is it that hard to have the catcher appeal?
  21. This is kind of off topic from this, but who is the #3 catcher if Rivera or Kendall go down during the season? Salome is on the 40-man roster, but is he ready to catch in the majors? Is Rottino ready to catch in the majors?
  22. I saw Angel Berroa as another option on their current roster. I'm not sure if he's on their 40-Man, but he's in camp with them. If ARod is only going to be out till May 1, I don't think acquiring someone is all that necessary. That's only 3 weeks of games. But he's going to be out till June, that's a different story.
  23. Gammons mentioned Bill Hall as a trade possibility as well, along with Garret Atkins, Chad Tracy, and Hank Blalock.
  24. I guess that makes sense. This is the first year in the last 5 that I haven't had both a 10 and 20 pack, and I guess I never realized how much better of a deal the 20 Packs are. But now looking back at the prices, the 20 Packs are a substantially better deal.
