  1. anyone else think last night was a top tier uniform matchup? I will say the grey pants with the blues(my favorite)don't mesh great, but i'm not sure what else you do with them. maybe go with some shorts like the '76 white sox. I know my wife would watch more with Mitchell in a pair of hotpants
  2. for as bad as the angels have been for most of their history they usually draw pretty well. I realize they're in a market bigger than the entire state of Wisconsin, but maybe they'd benefit from a smaller/unique ballpark? get crazy. put a new ballpark on the beach or something where you don't need to put a roof on it like all the new ones in the southwest I feel like as old as their stadium is I've never heard anything about a push for a new one
  3. is Jackson just kinda dim or did he get a little too big for his britches? his nonchalant casual approach to hitting is infuriating to watch. you're not Manny ramirez brah
  4. if you won the game, the offense was "good enough"
  5. thanks! I prefer adjustable hats anyway. I'm lazy and grow a frizzy German 'fro every year and a fitted hat doesn't fit so good after a few months
  6. I like the MB they used. the one with the bats does suck. I'd wear it ironically though. love all iterations of my team the rest of the uniforms were just so boring it downgraded the hats perception
  7. are the hats they wore this weekend available anywhere? they didn't really match the rest of the uniform, but I like them.
  8. the cardinal game was a ghost town. can't blame fans for not wanting to sit in 95 degree heat with 90 percent humidity and no wind
  9. or an arm? are either of these good ideas? I'm no expert. they often seem to play us above what their record would indicate, not really including this year
  10. wow! the marlins were 10 games over 500 and coming off a six game win streak on June 9th. they haven't won a game since. 11 in a row maybe we could pick up a bat from them?
  11. I remember him making a few nice plays, but maybe only like one hit when it mattered seemed like a nice guy who had fun with his teammates. it's a cruel industry
  12. he doesn't blow you away, but he doesn't give out many walks with a good defense behind him and he always seems composed you need guys like that on a good team. just do the job expected of you
  13. i'm 40. my paternal grandpa died at 75, 37 years ago. i'm glad i'm here because of him, but it would have been nice to have known the guy
  14. so much trouble and hassle for such a stupid sport my 2nd cousin just made his "professional" debut at age 17. parents just bought a 2nd house to be closer to his "academy". what a disgusting culture I get kids trying to escape the 3rd world
  15. why do we continuously have among the best records against +.500 teams then?
  16. I heard that on the radio after work tonight and I thought maybe I was just stupid, but yeah...... not very professional
  17. really happy for joey. he needed that hr. watching MLB app rundown this morning and gosh darn if Wilson Contreras didn't make me hate him a little less. happy for durbin too. seems like he's getting it together. I just like watching ballplayers who actually give an f and give it their all
  18. That was poor from a bases loaded situation but I khunel did for us why does he get the chance he’s awful
  19. it wasn't the grammar. the actual words posted made me worry I had a stroke or something
  20. there's 9 million people in just the Chicago metro area. less than 6 million in the entire state of Wisconsin, many of whom are cubs fans(including Iowa, Indiana). No matter what our GREAT fans do, the cubs fans are going to be able to take over our stadium. It sucks and I hate it, but it's reality. sorry I can't drive 4 hours every week to support the team in person it's like a political debate with people who don't understand "per capita"
  21. I'm not the one with 10 thousand posts of whiny bull I hope you're like 14 years old
