Yep. I’m cheering on the Crew…but also the Reds and the Padres tonight. Ws from them help us all around. Oh, and the Marlins… Hoping May brings good stuff tonight to hang with Wheeler but I really think Gasser has earned a playoff rotation spot as a consistent LHP. -

Definitely. But also Harrison’s slurve is a completely unserious pitch. It never lands or gets swing/miss.

Agreed. He missed his window last night to do the right thing…retire from active play. what saddens me is that with all this lack of production, I have not seen one sign of an adjustment he’s made at the plate. What do these hitting coaches do exactly? At this point wouldn’t you try almost anything?

Not your imagination. His fastball has great finish but no late movement. And, the intimidation factor has lessened the more opponents see his stuff.

All radio for me- but worth the listen through 6 since the game got bonkers at that point. My question is- did we plan to approach Abbott differently in some way to make sure we were getting hits early? or was he just dealing meatballs? We have to make adjustments in the playoffs to each pitcher. Can’t expect 6 runs by the 2nd vs the Dodgers… -
I’m sorry but, yes, people complained about certain players like Ortiz because half of his game contribution work was missing (hitting). His defense is elite at least! But, when all you are expected to do is throw strikes as a pitcher, there is no other half to your game to say helps the team. It’s the same reason that our complaints about the low production DH like Yelich has been much of the second half is justified. He has no other game helping role. Sproat should be toast. Go Brewers!

Garrett Mitchell will never be amazing unless that top zone swing and miss gets solved. Too easy to strike him out.
