My guess is that Ernesto is just one of those guys that they wont give a shot unless there's an injury to Hoskins or Bauers. Another asset they could have lost in the rule 5.
Yeh Rock tell us Freeland is a successful pitcher. Career WHIP over 1.40. more hits giving up than innings pitched and a 4.45 era. He had one good season (2018) and has generally sucked since.
Thanks! I breezed right by the part of the article that explained this! You are correct! Well thats great news.......we can get Sasaki AND one of these guys :)
Yes, but I'd rather see them linked to one or two in the top 20. They are #30-Kenny Felelon, #38 Cristopher Acosta and #40 Brailyn Antunez. But I trust our guys know what theyre doin!
Joseph- I want to start off by saying that I really appreciate and enjoy all of your posts- You sharing first hand information based on your observations. Ive seen now at least two times now where you have mused about Areinamo not being voted in the top 20 by those of us that aren't as connected to the minor league players as you are. (Almost condescending although Im sure its not your intent). I can say the reason I didnt rank Areinamo higher is because I hadnt read as much from YOU regarding him until after I voted each time. I trust your opinions much more than the guy who picked some prospect that got released as his #1! Keep up the good work- and keep lettin us know what we arent reading in Baseball America!
And while I’m at it……. In 2008 CC shouldn’t have walked the pitcher leading to a grand slam in game 2- and Mike Cameron didn’t catch a crucial fly ball in Game 1 that a better OF would have caught. Just venting…….
I can’t believe people are defending putting an under .200 hitter in the starting lineup of a playoff game. He’s the DH! Why keep the extra catcher if one isn’t going to DH? I’d rather see Perkins DH, and I’m not a fan of his bat
