  1. Take your bike off the bandwagon too. Didn't the champion 2011 Cardinals have three 8 game losing streaks? Feel sad and mad, but really....
  2. He was up and hit his weight. He's going to be really good, but he didn't look overly ready right now. I wouldn't term it "rotting" in AAA. Did he ever play two consecutive days? Kinda like Broxton last year giving at bats away to Kirk.
  3. Brinson up in the OF rotation.... Play Sogard almost everyday.... Villar doesn't sniff leadoff duty again his year... Pick up some reinforcements for bullpen and rotation... AAA Jesus is hitting.... could make an impact.
  4. Don't get hurt jumpin off the bandwagon... He's a Cubs fan, so he was never really on it anyway . Par for course..
  5. No way.... he can still pitch. Three really bad starts has his ERA up. He wouldn't be my first choice, but if we wouldn't have to give up much (oh yeah, except $), go get him.
  6. Or we could have just kept Scooter and his 900 plus OPS. Then we wouldn't have Sogard.
  7. Wouldn't that be 80 million plus? Uh, I can't see us doing that. Maybe if they include 25 million...
  8. Looooooooong season....
  9. I'm not a believer that this thing is going to collapse. The last two days is too reminiscent to the games in 2004, that's all. I really believe we add Pitching by Sunday.
  10. Ok now I am confused is this Dave Stewart or Steve Phillips? Where did I mention that we were giving up big prospects? Just today, the Brewers are connected to Verlander and taking on salary and presumably giving up no top prospects.... I see us taking on salary somewhere for pitching and hopefully a Kinsler type bat.
  11. Could they include Kinsler, as well?
  12. Same fan base....
  13. Heart and hustle award leader... last year and this year.
  14. Makes contact, walks, low K Control for next season
  15. No cotton pickin way is he being told to steal in this situation....... going back to a couple years ago, Villar ha no clue when a steal might not be a good idea. Down 2 runs.... getting chucked with no one out, 7th inning. CC has to invest in a Stop sign for Villar. Big ReD one.
  16. We don't play in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
  17. Didn't the Brewers have an above .500 record this year at the All-Star break, only to finish with 90 plus losses? I believe it was the worst record post break of all time for a .500 team. I think it all began in Pittsburgh with a sweep. Any info on this? I can't find anything on it.
  18. Nelson going tomorrow, and the Cubs aren't playing!
  19. Even if we are not, then that is it? It's a marathon season. We have deep talent, scrappers, and a smart GM who wants to send in reinforcements...... The division and two wild cards are in play.
  20. Get our best players up here. Whatever at bats they don't get here, the experience of a playoff race makes up for it. Plus, it's late July; prospects have played well over half the season. No more 13 man pitching staff... Brinson up... Be open to Burnes up too.
  21. He had 29 HRs last season... We would still have Sogard; Villar would be here or in AAA for insurance.
  22. Maybe special in the pen, but allegedly not quite as special in the clubhouse: LaTroy Hawkins says Tommy Kahnle "one of the worst teammates I've ever had in my life." When you sport a 15 K per 9 IP rate and a 8.5 K/BB ratio, you can be the biggest jerk possible and that would be fine with me. Can't believe the Yanks got the Sox to include Kahnle in the deal. He's controllable through 2020. Sox must have been desperate to shed salary. The prospects they got were "meh". They add depth and some quality but not a lot more. Think the Yankees interest in Frazier was to thwart the Red Sox. If prospect packages are meh for these packages, we better get a better option in the pen, in the rotation, and/or at 2nd. Offer up 2nd and 3rd tier guys that might be rule 5 guys anyways in our deep system.
  23. Contending for a wildcard, at least. Kinda like when Bo Ryan took over in Madison, expectations have risen a bit here. That being said, I had similar expectations from 2005 thru 2015.
  24. If he isn't that good, we wouldn't have to give up that much, correct? Funny to say this is a bad Deal when what we would have to give up isn't listed. All I know is that it would be a low cost (prospect wise) upgrade at 2B.
