  1. Quoting myself from roughly a year ago....again, first game back and he keeps talking about length of game! He couldn't stop if he tried! Seriously, keep track of how much he talks about pace of play, length of game, breaks in play, mound very sits, etc. I know there is horrible weather at the game today; still, I don't need to be reminded how awful it is to be working a long MLB game. It's like it's small torture for the man to sit thru a 3 hour plus game. I am not calling for a replacement, just change of talking points.
  2. Batting Villar 3rd today? Questionable at best.... possibly worst move he's made all year.
  3. What jumps out to me are his k ratio (over 1 per inning) and total walks (5- less than one PER START)! Deserving of a start. Sad though because I have never heard of the guy.... I thought I followed the minors fairly closely.
  4. Not a big fan of his for many reasons..... Yet, he needs to play for now. Sogard can play a couple days a week for him, though. No reason to treat a 220 hitter like the missing link when our entire lineup at AAA is hitting 300.
  5. Let's let the catching spot play itself out- two young catchers, low salary... Between the two, one should be avg; who that will be is anyone's guess... Trading one will not bring much back now. Why would it? It's been fun watching them play. Their d has been impressive too.
  6. Should get plenty of ABs for Braun and giving Thames days off vs lefties (though Thames seems to have no issues with lefties so far). Let's just say I agree I'd rather him in at 1B and Thames in LF than to have Franklin out there. Aguilar needs to play. Agreed times 1000.
  7. Have been a Peralta supporter for a while... still believes he deserves a few more starts. A six-man rotation would be my quick fix solution when Guerra returns. Yet, if he doesn't show a better version of himself by early June or so, I'd send him to the pen for middle relief. He still has a good arm, throws harder that most.
  8. 4 or 5 games a week, 75% of the game or so; have been steadily watching since 03 but 2007 to 2012 was peak. Day games are a challenge to begin watching and west coast games are a challenge to finish. Next week will be tough seeing late night games in SD and day games in Chicago.
  9. So are you guys ok with Denver? https://sports.yahoo.com/news/broncos-season-ticket-holders-outraged-weeded-team-172732555.html
  10. Aug. 1, 2017 Nelson Peralta Davies Woodruff Anderson April 1 and August 1, 2018 Nelson Peralta Davies Woodruff Hader
  11. Trade some "extra" OF prospects for pitching/catching help. I don't see how we get around this issue without doing this. We can't keep umpteen OF on the 40 man in the near future.
  12. Guessing his first day off is not BECAUSE of his baserunning errors. It took about twenty unforced baserunning errors before that happened last season.

  14. All this..... by far the most popular player by his given stats. .229 lifetime hitter?
  15. I wouldn't trade Santana........ he'll come on soon.
  16. Confident in saying Villar of 2016 (April thru July) made more mistakes per game than 2017 Cardinal team all by himself.
  17. Not even comparable.... Suter had to make a long throw awkwardly across his body while hurrying and falling down. For a righty pitcher, that's a great play. For a lefty, that's one in a million. Buehrles' play is great, but the ball is so much closer to the bag..... so much easier play to make than Suter's.
  18. http://m.mlb.com/brewers/tickets/offers/corporate-partners This may help some save a bit on tickets. If anyone has a keyword for corporate deals, please pass it on.
  19. It stinks to lose. It stinks to lose against the Cubs. It stinks to blow leads against the Cubs. Still a fan. Still better days to come. Not a "loser" organization. Tons of meaningful baseball over the last decade. When we win it all, it will be the most impressive championship in the history of the four major sports considering our small market status and limited revenue sharing/no salary cap. Keep the faith.
  20. Take it easy, Cub fan...... make yourself happy and Go bandwagon a "winner"
