    I would be surprised if Burnes is back in 2024. I would be surprised if Woody and Adames weren’t on the team in 2024. Trades would not bring back much, especially with Adames hitting .200 and Woody being hurt.

    Well, the launch angle on that HR wasn’t quite up to snuff; he ran the bases a little slower than the avg. runner too. And that strike out…. man we can’t have that.

    The Brewers could have just non-tendered him instead of paying him a guaranteed 2.2 million contract.

    If our hitting coaches and analysts don’t like his approach, even more reason to bring him up, especially with what we have seen from our preferred choices at 1B and DH this year. My apologies and I’m done for a while…. Just do not like the reasoning of management with this all. Easy thing would be to play him for a few weeks daily and re-evaluate then. Cut then or trade. Brewerfan82 and sveumrules make solid points, but I disagree with all those getting shots before Hiura.

    I am all for seeing Black at DH too. If not Hiura, let’s take a look at him at DH. Option him later.

    Apparently. Why give him the 2 million then? If he stinks, why? How does this make sense? He hit better than almost anyone last year at MLB level and at DH and against RHP…only to sit in minors with a.950 OPS this year in the #3 slot at AAA while our MLB offense pinch hits Turang in tight games.

    Hitter to hitter, I can compare. In the batting order, why not? What does defense have to do with this? And yes, there is a DH where Hiura could hit and not field, and yes it is wiiiiiide open since our OPS there is awful. I am accurate in saying Hiura had a better OPS than almost anyone on the current team last year or this year. Total failure at DH this year. Utter failure and total disaster. The decision makers there have an F in 2023 And unbelievable stubbornness. Why they chose, they chose, they chose, they chose to pay Hiura 2 million plus million to hit very well at AAA only to not bring him up to fill an offensive hole. It is really nutso…ESPECIALLY NOW with DH OPS at .608, Tellez injured, so many not even fringe players up, and the team struggling with offense. And Hiura hits #3 or #4 at AAA daily. That manager Rick Sweet values his bat and really relies on his offense to carry that team. Black has excellent stats too. Yep. With the running I take Black too. Got others?

    I am fairly sure he has, arguably, the best offensive #s in our system. I am sure fire sure we struggle with offense at the major league level, I sadly am sure that we are playing light weight hitting rookies and not even fringe major leaguers that everyone, including CC, knows will not stick here. Just madness. No anything logical.

    Not Logical #3 hitter = one of team’s best hitters Adames = #3 hitter 2022 Hiura OPS > 2022 Adames OPS 2023 Hiura 0 MLB ABs < Adames 396 PAs at .692 OPS And now bringing up the farm ahead of him when he has best stats in the system.

    Frelick looks like a leadoff guy. Good eye, not chasing, Walking, contact, stealing a base. All for giving it a shot.

    Fair enough, five weeks then….Winker was injured about two months ago in late May.. The questions for his replacement could have started then.

    And my guess is that some want to twist my view on this issue as me saying I am anti establishment with CC and Arnold. That is the furthest thing from truth. This is CC’s best managerial season. He is Manager of the Year right now. We have scored less than we have given up and are ten games over .500 in first place. We have had injuries everywhere. Arnold made the trade of the year and picked up Rea, Teheran, and pieces that fit. Stellar job so far on the fly in replacing DS. I just see this DH issue as a huge issue that could be improved with Hiura, based on last year’s results and this year’s stats. It’s like the teacher asking a question and having only one kid raising his hand in the front row to answer and the teacher keeps looking over and through him saying, “ Anyone?”

    1. No errors at 1B (or DH) at AAA in over 100 innings 2. Better K rate this year. 3. Yes, it does overcome Ks… everyone takes his 2022 stats over our DH #s this year. Everyone, including CC, Arnold, and you. And that is what needs to be emphasized…..Low bar. And his promotion costs us no prospects. And we desperately need 1B and DH to play in our lineup. And everyone knows it. 2022 765 OPS overall .866 OPS vs RHP, .949 OPS as DH 2023 AAA .308 Avg, .406 OB, .963 OPS, 14 HRs,, 1.063 OPS vs LHP .

    I like Mitchell too. No rush to trade Mitchell now… can he even be traded on IL?

    For this year, we all better be concerned about his bat. His glove has been way more than advertised, thankfully, and that is what is saving him. I hope we get Urias right and have some sort of time share there.

    Plays daily at SS and hits #2 or #3…. Immune. Can’t imagine a Worst #3 hitter on a first place team. But at least Our AAA team has a good one.

    Loved how the Fox Saturday broadcast DID NOT have the outlined strike zone in any of its hitter/pitcher screens. I didn’t miss it at all. FoxSports North used to put it up only on meaningful reviews.
