  1. Ok… lineups when all are healthy. Pretty exciting on one more good bat will do to a lineup… Righty starter- Wong 2B Yelich LF Escobar 3B Garcia RF Adames SS Narvaez C Rowdy 1B Cain CF P Bench- JBJ, Urias, Peterson, Pina, Taylor Lefty starter Wong 2B Escobar LF Adames SS Garcia RF Peterson 1B Narvaez C Taylor CF Urias 3B
  2. Including the endless line of injuries…. Deep roster. Special mention to the under appreciated ones…. Peterson, Lauer, and Boxberger.
  3. Wouldn’t be surprised if he finds a home in Nashville for August…..odds of him latching on elsewhere in MLB can’t be high.
  4. Now, I would want Woodruff and Burnes pitching Games 1 and 4 and Games 2 and 5.
  5. Wonder if a team is going to take the risk on Hiura or if he's soon to be headed to Nashville for the rest of the year. Nashville. It would be a crazy sell low on Hiura is Stearns were to deal him now. Agreed. He could still be a player. Let him dominate AAA.
  6. What’s not to like about this one? Kinda like picking up KRod in 11. - Not involving top prospect - Fills a need - Picking up an all star - Becomes best power on team - Switch hitter, ta boot - Affordable cost (2.4ish million) - And……Terrified of cats. https://www.mlb.com/cut4/eduardo-escobar-is-terrified-of-cats
  7. And right…12’s contract is the main reason why others listed aren’t here. It’s like he’s a contradiction of himself. He knows the right answer but can’t fully accept it.
  8. Donaldson and cash for salary this season for Cain, Turang, and multiple low level guys. Is this fair/reasonable?
  9. Swing Time in Germantown looks cool. Happened across these mini golf videos…. The couple do a really nice job of promoting courses. I am always surprised to find myself enjoying these. Swing Time (Germantown) Vitense (Wisconsin Course- a Miller Park hole is pretty great) Vitense (California Course)
  10. Just like Favre it saddens me that the drama is even here….. First off, Rodgers has no business running the team. Show up and play. Lead your team. You are making millions, adored by everyone, and he has these little beefs that make no sense in the grand scheme. He’s flat out wrong about most, if not all, veteran players not with the team anymore. It’s like he is looking for a reason to complain here when no legitimate ones are there with the team. If he is not comfortable with other areas in his life, whatever they are… and my guess they are numerous from family to broken relationships to spiritual issues, he might just be a troubled soul coming to work looking to make mountains out of mole hills. Now, that being said and to Rodgers point,….. I can see as a QB, whomever you are, with wanting to have input ( not final say) on who you throw the ball to. I mean, if I’m a GM, I’d definitely want a guy like Aaron Rodgers to talk to me about what guys he trusts throwing to. If he likes Kumerow, keep him around for the right price. I struggle with management not wanting specific info from 12 to help make the team better at WR. Who blocks and runs or plays defense….. no, not really. But WRs seem like a big deal to me for a QB, and a WRs moxy, brains, and ability to get open are seen more by a QB in the moment than anyone.
  11. Well, the logical next step in all this might be, if I am reading the stars right, is Rodgers coming to meetings late, growing more and more bold in cutting corners in drills, etc. If he is upset to be here, he wants management to continue to know this throughout the year. Rodgers lost and management won, in his mind. Maybe he will be a pro’s pro, but human nature says he can pretty much call his own drills/plays and tell the coaches to stuff it. The coaches and GM will want smooth sailing, and we all hope that happens. Start losing…. yeah, this could get ugly. And Rodgers comeback to all this when blame falls on him… “If they don’t like it, TRADE ME!”
  12. Word is there will be many more buildings downtown occupying those empty lots next season…It worked perfectly for the Bucks this year. They needed more room for the Deer District in the Fonals and it was there. Bucks might have to get more creative with their spacing if a repeat happens.
  13. Rodgers in Green Bay https://www.yahoo.com/sports/aaron-rodgers-arrives-green-bay-082334826.html
  14. Rodgers first few interviews with the GB media should be interesting. He should start with, “ Look, I’m a jerk for some of this offseason commotion and the media really blew this up to where it shouldn’t have been.” Some humility would help the fan base let this go somewhat. Yet, I expect a wry smile and pompous half answers to legitimate questions on the offseason mess. He is smarter than us hicks up here, ya know. He won and hosted Jeopardy.
  15. The owners haven’t received enough credit, IMO. They ponied up a lot of $ for contracts, the new stadium, and properties around it. And they did this in a place not known for professional basketball. Lots of risk, yet here we are.
  16. The top collection of talent still is the U.S…… by far. Giannis, Dokic, and other top players are representing their countries largely by themselves and back up/fringe NBA players. For as much as the narrative is “the world has caught up,” the best collection of skilled talent is in the United States, unquestionably. When losing to France in basketball is not a big upset, let’s all shudder. Something is drastically wrong with a team whose roster makes $3.4 billion. https://www.news.com.au/sport/olympics/team-usa-announces-roster-worth-34-billion/news-story/d862c67073080dabea145028a194074c
  17. We simply don’t know what Stearns is doing now. Everything is conjecture, including our Stearns boys who say he will not leave any rock unturned. Most Stearns deadlines are underwhelming yet helpful. He hasn’t been trading top regarded prospects and isn’t getting flashy, expensive players. The Brewers are often reported “in” on several big names, for whatever that is worth or whatever that means. I hear what you are saying Brewcrewin7…. It’s almost better to not be following the rumors and be left feeling disappointed. Without the waiver wire to fall back on, GMs do have to get a lot of work to get done in the next couple of days, though. Teams with playoff hopes like the Brewers should feel the pressure to get something done.
  18. Brewers became 1st NL team to strikeout 1000 batters before 100 games completed. https://www.mlb.com/news/milwaukee-brewers-stat-of-the-day-july-2021
  19. I would count on it. If pattern continues, it will be underwhelming and it will pay dividends.
  20. And get Kumerow from the Bills.. It’s a modern day temper tantrum.
  21. Too much offensive focus with roster construction…. Some guys are used to taking 20+ shots a game and now have to pass because the offense isn’t set up specifically for them to score 30. “Big deal,” some say, “they should win anyway.” I would agree with that too, but it is a whole team dynamic at work here. If one isn’t getting 20 shots a game, is he still focusing on getting those shots, or is he doing other things (picks, hustle, defensive pressure, etc.) to help. For some, their role hasn’t even been established or figured out yet, and my guess is there has to be some hesitation on what each is supposed to be or do.
  22. There weren't all that many or as many as there have been in the past. This year was actually about average in 2019 there were far more transactions like this. Majority of the time these contracts have no bearing or impact on the NBA playoffs as these are end of the bench type of guys and that isn't really impacting the game at all competition wise. It’s kind of odd to allow these late comers on playoff teams, IMO. There are No trades after the deadline, but you can just sign guys that have contracts bought out? If nothing else, allow them to play the regular season only. In MLB 2008, I remember the Brewers getting Todd Coffey in September, and he was lights out…. but he couldn’t pitch in the postseason. Drummond and Griffon went to big markets this year, each filling a valued role. The article talks about how it favors bigger markets too. https://www.si.com/nba/2021/03/29/nba-buyouts-andre-drummond-blake-griffin
  23. My favorite stat is 34 shooting 17-19 Fts and the entire Suns team going 16-19. Blame Chris Paul, Suns fans, for opening his yap after Game 5 about Giannis thinking he is going to miss every free throw he takes.
