  1. And Taylor is yanked in and out of the lineup and roster consistently. Get the guy some consistent at bats and then we’ll see what he can really do! Bradley starting so much is mind boggling. He hit the ball hard tonight, but still. Start Taylor and use Bradley to play late defense. Cain can sit too if he is his normal self. I really don’t care about the contract or amount of money we are sitting. This bat needs to play and it is hot right now. Let’s keep it hot in Milwaukee… not Nashville. I also agree with others here on the whole 1B situation. Play Hiura and maybe even Rowdy at AA and AAA. Get them at bats. Go out and get a legitimate #5 hitting 1B for this group.
  2. While Ayton didn't cover Giannis all the time when he did Giannis scored 27 against him and 8 of those were at the free throw line the next person who covered him the most was Crowder and he scored 12 against him the rest were covered by Kaminsky and others. So Kaminsky was also part of that 50 so no Frank did not outplay him in game 6 and if Frank played more he would have been worse than Ayton. Giannis was absolutely abusing Kaminsky when he was in the game during the series I don't see that stopping at all. Ayton didn't play all that well in game 6 but to say Kaminsky outplayed him is just asinine. https://www.nba.com/news/inside-the-box-score-2021-nba-finals-game-6 Frank had a very, very good game for being 7th on the team in minutes played (11 min.). He was efficient from the field 3-4 (the miss was a created shot in the paint), had two boards, an assist and steal. He led all players on both teams with 5 box outs, and was arguably the most efficient player for the Suns in Game 6 with an impressive usage/point percentages(16%,24%). Ayton was just bad all around this game for who he is. A 12/6 game in 36 minutes of action? +/- of -7 on the court? 1 offensive rebound in 36 minutes? I could do that. And again, he guarded Giannis primarily who had his best game ever. When he wasn’t guarding him, he wasn’t a presence with help on him in the paint either. He played timid, IMO. Don’t try to spin this too much here. I’m not saying Frank is better overall or could guard Giannis better. Frank just played a better game than Ayton in Game 6 by stats and by sight in the short amount of time he was in. Frank played his best game and Ayton, arguably his worst of the Finals. If you want to play the woulda, coulda, shoulda game…. If Frank guarded 34 for 20 min., etc., for example…. sure, the results would be all different.
  3. I think Woodruff and Burnes have better stuff than Peralta, but his contract has 5 more relatively cheap years on it, with the last two being club options. The other two have more three arby years coming up after this one. If I had to choose, I’d pick Woodruff. He’s been durable and has been performing at a high level, longer.
  4. And What position would be filled? 1B maybe…. and at what cost? We aren’t swimming with top minor league talent. I have to agree now. I feel they’ll get a bat, but it is hard to see a big bat coming here batting in the middle of the order.
  5. I have read that many do not view him going in the 1st round… we’ll see.
  6. Kaminsky was a liability all series a couple of minutes in game 6 doesn't change that he is an extreme liability on the court. In game 5 Teague or Forbes got to an easy rebound that Kaminsky should have had think about that for a minute. Kamnisky is a horrible center and is no where near Jokic offensively or defensively. He also did not out play Ayton in Game 6. Just because he was playing decently for a few minutes in game 6 doesn't mean he outplayed Ayton in game 6. Never said he played to the level of Jokic…. Frank hardly plays so tough to be real sure how good/bad he is. He looked good in Game 6, though, and Ayton was progressively looking worse all series. Ayton had 12 and 6 in 36 minutes, while being the primary defender against a guy that threw up 50. Yeah, I think Frank outplayed him in Game 6.
  7. I’d like to see the Bucks trade it for two later 2nd rounders (or another from next year’s draft). The Garza kid from Iowa would be one choice who would be available. He is a tireless worker, lost a bunch of weight, and would be a great team guy. He is slow, but who knows how he has developed over the summer. I think you are shooting realistically for a quality role players (in a couple of years) with 2nd round picks. If nothing else, get a skilled kid that will work, likes to be physical, and will get better. I’d view him to potentially compete with Lopez for minutes, allowing a trade for Lopez to potentially materialize in a year. Also, I was so glad the Suns pulled Frank (a similar type player) late in the 4th quarter. He was making a difference offensively (and defensively), giving the team a better dynamic than just pick and roll with Paul or Booker. He reminded me of the Denver star in ways, getting the ball at top of key, handing off or faking handing off, dribbling off the fake. He arguably outplayed Aston in Game 6.
  8. Curious if the NBA is going to ( or has already) changed the rule about teams buying out the ends of contracts to allow players to latch on to contenders after the trade deadline….. seems like it has happened more recently.
  9. I still think he is the ultimate cause of the white Sox not going all the way the next couple years. He’ll probably start throwing at the astros in a tie game in the 8th. Because of his “moral superiority” or other related hypocrisy in his head. Was it when he threw at Braun TWICE? Threw behind him first and then hit him in the back. To make matters worse, he defended it after the game. Just stupid logic.
  10. Only two more games. It was announced earlier that Cain will be in Pittsburgh for the Pirates next week. Play him the two or three games…. It would be sad to have maybe our best hitter against left handed pitching down in AAA. Is there any way to keep him around?
  11. Anyone else feel the parade tomorrow would be a great time to honor the 71 team, as well, and throw them in the parade too, a parade they did not experience after winning in 71? Kill two birds with one stone. I’m guessing these old men would appreciate the thrill and excitement off the day, as well.
  12. Just thinking about what “crop of vets” is out there this summer. Do you have any possibles?
  13. Hoping the 1971 team is in the parade too! They didn’t have a parade.
  14. Glad when they took Frank out….. he looked good out there.
  15. Probably a nothingburger. As we've learned here in the past, the Stearns camp rarely is responsible for any info getting out. If there's any legitimacy to this, it'd be because it was coming from the other side of a deal, IMO. I’d say probably something and soon, considering the source. Right, leak probably not from Stearns side.
  16. Yeah, the coaches are teaching a clinic on this….Source? Is it the "it appears" that is throwing you? I don't know how you could other read that as anything other than an observational opinion. Just making a point…. What I brought up about Hader’s usage was my observational opinion too. Lots of “appears” and “possibly” in my thoughts. Yet, it wasn’t received well so some wanted proof, and I was told to move on. Another guy writes about coaches possibly teaching ways to get fouled on a three, and I asked for proof. Same thing.
  17. A bit unlike it, actually, in that in this case I made one off the cuff observation and won't post about it 19 times. Exactly like it, sorry. I was willing to move on earlier. Check the thread. Several others kept it going, and I responded to good questions.
  18. Yeah, the coaches are teaching a clinic on this….Source? What? It was literally framed as my own personal opinion/observation. Like my Hader stuff, then? Oh, I guess you are right then.
  19. Yeah, the coaches are teaching a clinic on this….Source?
  20. I’d say BruisedCrew is in line with what CC is thinking here. Kudos. Great to hear from a fan who thinks for himself, regardless of the noise.
