  1. 7 games, not a single decent outing by a brewer starting pitcher
  2. Does anyone know if this game will be available to charter subscribers in madison, thanks?
  3. .800, but for real, nice day carlos. hopefully this 4-5 will carry his average and confidence for a long time.
  4. good one. who knows, he very well could have been. Im not actually hung up on steriod users, but BJs historical trend screams juicer.
  5. Elected to the orioles HOF? There is no way the surhoff i remember was good enough to get into any pro team’s HOF. I just reviewed his career and man i hate to say this, but it looks very roidy. Is he an admitted user? If not, the following outlines my suspicion. He broke into the bigs at 23 years old with mil in 87. Playing 9 seasons with milwaukee hitting 7,5,5,6,5,4,7,5, 13 hrs in those seasons. His HR avg during his 'baseball prime' was 6.3 with max of 13 (age 31). Then he goes to baltimore in 96, at age 32 he starts dropping bombs like the clinton administration 21,18,22,28,14 avg 20.6 max 28 (age 36). Im sorry, but I can’t believe BJ developed that kind of power naturally after his 32nd birthday.
  6. An educational discussion requires more than subjective opinions, which is all this thread can offer Fact: booing the brewers at home does not help the team. (please try to argue this point). Why would a brewer fan act in a manner detrimental to the organization? I know sometimes your drunk or you really despise wes helms, but understand when you boo current or former players it has a very negative effect on the team. And this effect is not limited to in-game outcomes, it spills over to player opinion/morale and FA signings.
  7. wow, pretty good deal. What am i missing here? As long as this guy doesn't have a spitting incident, extamartial affair or leave a bad tip at TGI Fridays he is a sure bet for the HOF. A one-year commitment for under 6 mil. Thats all, come on Doug we could have overbid that. how many season tickets could this signing have brought in? I know i would have absolutely loved the deal. He says hes only 34 and in his last season, by far the worst of his career, he was still very productive.
  8. beat me to it razzor
  9. suppan should pay for it
  10. the animated fox sports football robot.
  11. thank goodness he hit the second one!
  12. what happened, for those of us following gameday and the IGT Lopez goes back to catch a pop up to end the inning. Drops it, runner scores. Inning still going. i sort of got that from the vague casey reference. sheesh, thanks for the info. Score 11 runs and now its trevor time
  13. what happened, for those of us following gameday and the IGT
  14. Probably leading off too. he is really good at seeing pitches.
  15. ill bet JK hasn't hit 2 hrs in any batting practice session this season, let alone a game. His swing is like a tennis volley. He is satisfied with what most pitchers want, groundballs to the infeild.
  16. well its a six run lead v the padres. the last time the brewers had a 6-run lead v the padres, i ordered some glass nickel, cracked a heine and said to my friend, boy its going to be nice to finally just enjoy a game. we'll see how this plays out.
  17. Remember Brady Clark?
  18. 2007: 60.6% 2008: 61.2% 2009: 60.7% what is the league average? Thanks!
  19. Confidence isn't McClung's problem when put in the starting rotation it is his pitch count especially the amount of pitches he throws in each inning that keeps him from being a starter. If McClung could keep his number of pitches down per inning he could be a good #5 pitcher.I have to disagree a bit. Aside from 1or 2 last year, McClung has struggled with each oppurtunity to start the brewers have given him. Its reasonable to me, that he is putting a ton of pressure on himself in these spots becuase he wants so badly to be a starter. He's always been wild, and i do agree he needs to put the ball in play more, but he needs to stay within himself and throw the ball hard.
  20. this is a good chance for seth to build confidence. He has an oppurtunity to get a win. Hopefully he pitches and well and he can back up our rotation if bush needs more time.
