I will say one thing. The Cubs are actually playing decent ball lately won 8 of 9 I'm sure their fans are loving these wins that mean nothing. Long live their rebuild.
I think Suter is going to work some bridge innings in the playoffs too. Not sure he should but I think he makes the cut for a role. Quite possible but I wonder how using your starters for 3 innings each would look like so you don't have to face most hitters twice.
I am in favor of technology being used a lot more to help out umpires but the constant complaining about officials/referees/umps in sports is a bit much. I always remember the kids that didn't win anything would blame the officials.
It didn't get harder at all. A ball is a ball and a strike is a strike. Perhaps they'd get better at their jobs if there were some actual repercussions for their ineptitude instead of what I suspect are slaps on the wrist and being told to do a better job next time. Watch some old MLB games and you will see they are vastly improved now overall. The scrutiny is much higher now.
Yeah, Farmer has cost the Reds twice this series. He's gonna cost you runs at SS. Kinda glad they didn't trade for Adames as they wanted him for a long time apparently.
