  1. id be estatic with bard and perez. Doubt either will be on the board when we pick in the first 2 rounds
  2. i'd prefer a college arm with the first pick, especially if a player like bard is on the board. If a player like Chris Perez is there in the 2nd you have to look long and hard about making that pick. Because there are so many picks in the draft, and its suck a crabshoot, its worth the gamble.
  3. that is definately true, and i did say on my first post that i am not advocating it, just throwing it out there
  4. jeffress is an intriguing player, but as i said before i would prefer a college player.
  5. i usually listen to it on mlb radio. Are they doing that again this year.
  6. seems to be a popular pick, i just hope that if we are going to take a starting pitcher its a college one.
  7. i was suprised gross came in as a defensive replacement. ned seems to like him more than he should
  8. great thing about baseball is that there is always tomorrow, i just don't know how much more of this i can take
  9. i saw that perez is the best closer on the board and sickels has him going 53..just throwing it out, maybe we can get one in the 2nd
  10. while I am not advocating this completely, I was wondering what were your guys thoughts about drafting a college closer that could help us in the immediate future. In the past ryan wagner, chad cordero, and huston street have been very succuessful for their teams. I know there really isn't that kind of player in this years draft, but maybe the closer from miami could help us. it might be more beneficial than drafting a high school pitcher that still might not sign with us and we have no idea if he will be riddled with injuries like a jm gold or nick neugebauer.
  11. I know today was frustrating but everyone knows on monday if it was said we could split the 6 games this week between philly and cincy we would take it. Now as was said before if we can take 3 out of 4 in pittsburgh we are in business. Atleast they seam to be playing better on the road than they have in the past.
  12. i think all things considered it wasn't a bad outing for eveland. If he would of not given up that double to the pitcher, it would of been a decent outing. Truth be told he had bad control and made a few bad pitches that he did not get away with.
  13. don't know where to post this, but does anyone have an idea where Mike Goetz is expected to go.
  14. i think dana is not long for the day today....3 hit batters already.
  15. not suprising about Thompson his numbers were pretty bad in Nashville, and I am assuming his sole motivation for signing a minor league contract with the brewers was to make it to the bigs
  16. For those like me who really want to watch a baseball game tonite, but the brewers are off, you can watch the twins - rangers game (Radke vs Karonka)
  17. one of the funniest things i heard on the radio broadcast this season was powell informing us that Winkelsas was movin gup to AAA, and Uecker just responded I am out of here. There was silence for about a minute which I will assume that they were laughing much too hard to be on the air. Anyway he had a decent first appearance so we will see how it goes.
  18. we have moved to the 23rd, its going to be interesting to see what kremblis is going to do for the night cap
  19. looking forward to it, I will be dropping back a couple dollar busch lights at axels and enjoying the game tonite.
  20. I would love to get to Eveland get another shot. I think spring training has awakened him and he knows he has to take better care of himself if he wants to pitch every day.
  21. freaking yahoo is so slow they still dont have koskies ab posted, what happened? I wish i could have a radio at work
  22. my guess tonite is weeks hardy jenkins lee fielder hall miller clark ohka clark has been better of late so he can have the start tonite, with moeller probably catching sheets tomorrow, ill give miller another start
  23. remember only 2 weekends ago we were when cincinati took 3 out of 4 from us, and since then things have been rolling, a great month of april
  24. i think most people are following the draft, if there is baseball then i will switch
