  1. Sounds fine to me. (See first post for defensive positions by "half").. Whatever we settle on, I'll make a printout and bring it to the game -- that's a lot to remember http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Shall we make Jimbo's substitution scheme (semi-) official? Anyone have any further thoughts?
  3. Yeah, I think something like that is the idea, Jimbo... Also keeps it simple -- only one mass substitution during the game.
  4. Woohoo! Count me in for two. Thanks!
  5. I know I sure find it hard to play when the humidity in the air is more than 5%!
  6. I suppose it hinges, somewhat, on whether players can rotate back in. Jamie, do you happen to know if that's allowed?
  7. Whoops, yeah, that's what you were saying http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Sorry for misrepresenting ya.
  8. The final game of a grueling week-long road trip, the Brewerfan.net squad hopes to rebound from last week's tragic weather misjudgment. (Lineup and positions subject to change.) 1. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. Low 58F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph." (updated 1-Jun, 13:26) GAME ON! In regard to substitutions, Iron Chef suggested it might be best to rotate in waves rather than all at once at the halfway point. Might provide a more even performance -- though it may be logistically tough. At any rate, it's worth a mention and a bit of discussion. See you guys there!!!
  9. I'll be there with a glove and shoes.
  10. I'm definitely in for practice tomorrow.
  11. I'm down for a practice, too.. any day/time works for me. Whoever the guy was asking about his teammates joining us -- we should work that out. The silver lining for me.. I went to bed at like 8. Most rested I've been in weeks http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. bahhhh!!!!! oh well, thanks for the news. -- Houlie notified. -- No answer for valpo, but left a message.
  13. Definitely scattered. It's still almost sunny, with no trace of recent rain here by Miller Park. Crossing my fingers! Jimbo, do you know if (or when) you'll call again? I'll probably be leaving at around 7 -- just wanted to know the latest by then.. if they don't get pissy like they did with Jamie http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Looks fine outside.. but the forecast isn't good. 60% chance of rain.
  15. Man, I hope it doesn't rain too much. I wanna PLAY.
  16. Good practice today.. I know it was helpful for me.
  17. Doobie......doobie doooo..... Kind of freaky to wake up today, 5/21, at 9:30am, and see that apparently, I posted an hour ago..... http://www.russellrankings.com/null/freaky.png If I said anything offensive, forgive me.. I do not remember it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif But anyways, weather looks fine.. I'll see you guys out there.
  18. Yeah, I think that'd be great.. unless, of course, you're in our league http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. I'll be there for sure.. unless the skies open up quite a bit more. I'll take a peek in the morning and check here to see what you guys think, if that's the case. With some luck we'll get enough to field an infield! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. I think that's probably a pretty good idea.. For what it's worth, here's my info... email: tim@russellrankings.com phone: 405-213-9315 (I realize anyone can view this.. don't care http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif )
  21. So that's what happened. I could have sworn I didn't hear the first baseman catch it.. had no idea that's how the out was made. Man, what a rally killer http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  22. That may work best anyways, as last time we were ousted from the field by a bunch of high school girls. I'll regret this later.. but I prefer the morning time.
  23. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Good stuff. Thanks!
  24. I think I'm game.. and I think I should, besides. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif One thing that would be worth working on -- for me, at least -- would be batting with that giant arc.. and maybe the spin. Everything I remember practicing was like, normal compared to that guy last night.
  25. Completely agree. Very nice job out there.
