  1. Alright Corey! Two blasts to right-center this weekend. That's a good sign.
  2. Good game, Soup. Oh, by the way, we just accidently put you on the 556-day disabled list.
  3. Even mop-up guys have to hold serve more often than not. If Riske only gives up a couple of runs, it's a minor miracle. It was 5-1 when he came into the game today. He has to give the Brewers a chance to come back by pitching just ONE scoreless inning. That is all he was asked to do. Asking a team to rally from four runs down is a lot easier than asking a team to rally from 6-7 runs down. He shouldn't be on this team.
  4. I second that. When I first read the title to this thread, the first thought that came to my mind was "...how about a bar somewhere in Wisconsin." Unfortunately for me, the MetroDump is the closest stadium to where I live, so I've seen a few too many Brewer/Packerlosses there. Last summer we sat in the lower left field bleachers and got there early to watch batting practice. The seats were about the cheapest you can get in the dome.
  5. I thought the same thing. I guess a billion dollars doesn't buy much these days. I am sure the national sports media will dub it the 8th wonder of the world.
  6. How do I look at Prince? Through a wide-angled lens.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. 1978. Opening Day. Brewers vs. Boston. Sixto Lezcano hits a game winning grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to win the game. Uecker goes nuts. I become addicted to baseball.
  8. One big difference between now and 92/93: Bando and Selig < Melvin and Attanasio. While it appears to me, in hindsight, that Selig let the Brewers go to heck in the 90's, Attanasio wants the Brewers to be improve every year. That being said, this has been a very disappointing offseason. I was hoping for little shakeup in the lineup, but it looks like all we have to hope for is that Bill Hall's lasik surgery was successful.
  9. The only baseball players that I'm "happy" for are the players that currently wear the uniform of the Milwaukee Brewers.
  10. Dude, if only....Didn't we wait all of September and October for the 3-run homer?
  11. That's becasuse Gallardo is 10 times the pitcher that Suppan is.
  12. My question: if Gallardo is pitching, why didn't he start?
  13. It may not have mattered how Soupcan pitched. The offense looks like it's in two-hit mode today.
  14. The fans weren't booing Soupcan, they were saying, "Yoooooooouuuuuuuuu suck."
  15. As annoying as most of the posters on NSBB are, one had a really funny comment in last night's game: We dropped an atom bomb on Japan. They gave us Fukodome. I think we're even now.
  16. Some idiot on NSBB called Milwaukee and armpit and mentioned he'd been there 100 times. I responded that he must have an armpit fetish. I was quickly sent a message that personal attacks aren't allowed. So I made on post on that board and got one reprimand. I think I'll quit while I'm ahead! BTW, I'm really enjoying watch the Dodgers and Cubs humiliate the Cubs.
  17. Fukodome really turned out to be a sucky player. I think he was even booed after he looked at that fastball right down the middle for strike three.
  18. I really enjoy watching the Cubs lose. I really, really, really enjoy watching the Cubs lose playoff games.
  19. The Cubs must be watching the Brewers and saying, "Hey, we can play worse than that!"
  20. Hart looks at one thigh high then swings at one eye high. oh my.
  21. Torres seems to have hit the wall these last few weeks. He had a great year, though.
