  1. I don't know why Parra started the 7th. Yost should have been happy with 6 innings out of him tonight. The bullpen is rested.
  2. They were actually talking about the Sabathia trade, and wondering if it was the best in season pickup ever.
  3. I'm on the road a lot, so I paid for MLB gameday audio. Tonight, though, I didn't feel like listening to the game, so I just followed it on Gameday. When Braun was up in the 9th, and I saw that little blue dot sitting right in his wheelhouse, I said to myself, as I moved the mouse cursor towards the blue dot, "In play, run(s), In play, run(s), In play, run(s)." When I saw "In play, run(s)," I knew that Braun hit a home run. When "Home Run" flashed on the screen, I jumped up and punched a pillow on my bed about five times. I haven't had so much excitement in a hotel room since Favre threw the 90 yard touchdown to Driver in the NFC championship game. Then I saw Ryan's home run "watch" on Sportscenter. I loved it! This team has swagger and I think it's great.
  4. If the guy has the flu, why is he playing? Do we not have others on the bench that could play rightfield?
  5. Sheets at 88 pitches. Probably just one more inning from him.
  6. Yes. I liked the Durham trade. But in this series Weeks was getting on base and hitting the ball pretty well. But, look at last night. Weeks Hardy and Braun were on base all night long and they only scored three runs. The team just isn't delivering the big hit with men on base right now.
  7. The Brewers offense as actually been pretty putrid this series. If the lose this game they were still very lucky to have won three of four.
  8. Bases loaded and Corey comes up. He has to come through at some point in this series. He's left a boatload of runners on base the last few games.
  9. JJ and Braun are having a race to .300. JJ is at .299 and Braun at .297.
  10. I think the Brewers are going to have more LOB than Sabathia's going to have pitches thrown.
  11. Exactly. Except he said they lost the first two games because they only scored three runs in each game.
  12. I think a beanball war would be fun between the Brewers and Cards: Skip Schumaker 5-10 195 lbs. (played for the chess team in high school) Cesar Izturis 5-9 190 lbs. (collects butterflies) Aaron Miles 5-8 185 lbs. (wet) Randy Flores 6-0 190 lbs. (actually owns a pocket protector) CC Sabathia 6-7 290 lbs. (give or take 50 lbs.) Seth McClung 6-6 250 lbs. (doesn't like people) Prince Fielder 5-11 270 lbs. (Weebles wobble but they don't fall down) Russell Branyan 6-3 195 lbs. (can bench press a Volvo) Gabe Kapler 6-2 190 lbs. (can bench press a Volvo with Russell Branyan sitting inside)
  13. TLB, please let her take the hat off firsthttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  14. Ladies and gentlemen, these aren't your father's Milwaukee Brewers!
  15. Don't pitch Torres in the 10th. They should use Villy and save Torres for another night.
  16. Nice play by Miles, but that throw was really stupid.
  17. We can still win this boys, let's go!!!!!
  18. What are the odds that 4 Brewer relievers could shut out (even no-hit) the Cardinals over 4 innings?
  19. If Pujols comes up in the 9th, the best the Brewers could hope for at the time would be bases loaded and two outs and they still have the lead. Let's just hope it doesn't get that far.
