My vent is about people who continue to criticize those who post in the vent thread. Maybe we shoud start an "Everything is Sunshine and Lillies" thread for those people. BTW, the Reds start some dude who is 0-3 with an 8.76 ERA. I predict his line will be: 7IP, 2H, 0ER, 9K's (career high).
MLB umpires are sinking to the level of NBA refs. Especially the ball and strike calls. But, just like sterioids, if the league doesn't address the problem, then the problem doesn't exist.
I'm tired of Weeks, too. He just isn't very good. He rarely makes solid contact at the plate. In the field, if it isn't hit right at him, I cross my fingers. So much potential, though. Some day he might figure baseball out. Probably not in a Brewer uniform, though.
I'm with you, Bruce. I'm outside Superior and I just lost the game, too, because of the storm. Oh, Oh, lights are starting to blink...help, help my internet is fadinngggg awwwaaayyy......
Congrats to Corey Hart. Who would have thought last year at this time, that two of the Brewers to make the 2008 All-Star team would be Hart and Braun? I wonder how Longoria made it? Tampa gets about 15,000 people a game. I can't believe there was a huge local vote for him. Although every vote I did for Hart I chose Longoria for the AL. Maybe a lot of Hart voters did that.
Since nothing good ever seems to happen to this franchise, it's not hard to feel that way, Pedro. Melvin and Mark A. raised the bar for this team with the trade, and now we have to see if the current roster can raise up to that level. When it comes to the Brewers, I am pessimistic. Thirty-plus years of following this franchise will do that to a person. I won't change until they finally make the playoffs.
McEnroe-Borg had some epic matches. This one between Nadal-Federer was one of the greatest. Almost as great as the other tremendous matchup today: Suppan v. Duke.
