  1. JJ does have 5 hits in his last two games. Counsell has... ...Then Counsell hits run-scoring double to make me look bad. Geez, thanks Craig.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. Didn't Braun spot JJ about a 17 HR lead? Now they are tied. He should be tied with Prince about the 3rd week of August.
  3. JJ had two days off earlier this week. I think he could handle a DH. My guess is that Prince and Braun will play the 2nd game. JJ hasn't been crushing the ball, but I am so sick of Counsell.
  4. It's amazing how fast Balfour fell out of favor with the organization. Three appearances, ship him out of town. To Tampa on top of it. They were three pretty bad appearances, though.
  5. In a couple of years the Yankess should be in the market to replenish their stock of aging, overpriced pitchers.
  6. Unfortunately, Phandog, most Brewer players and most fans haven't been there before.
  7. 6-0 Cards. Grand Slam Duncan. Hopefully we'll still be 2 games up now.
  8. Well, they didn't have Howard the first time we faced them and that didn't make much of a difference.
  9. Fans are frustrated. The in-game threads have become extensions of the vent thread lately. It is understandable. An 8 1/2 game lead is down to 1 1/2. The Brewers have lost their best starter for 6 weeks, and most of the position players are struggling. Hopefully, Ennder, in a few weeks when the Brewers are tearing the cover off the ball and enjoying a 7-game lead, you can say "See, I told you so!"http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. Ennder wrote: Most people bring a little more emotion into watching a sports team. I wish I could just sit back and enjoy the ride, but I'm not a robot. When the Brewers have a tough loss, I get mad. So do others. That's why there is a vent thread. If it bugs you, don't read it. As for "...posting like a giddy schoolgirl after every loss...", that's uncalled for. That's a cheapshot at many Brewer fans that care for the team just as much as you do. Maybe we're just not as mature as you are. (Note: "Maybe we're just not as mature as you are" crosses the condescension line,. --1992)
  11. In 4 of the last 6 series the Brewers have lost: 3 out of 4 to Pittsburgh 2 out of 3 to Washington 2 out of 3 to SF 3 out of 4 to Cincy Not exactly the work of a team destined for the playoffs.
  12. if this chubby pig-face beats us again i'm going to throw up.
  13. I think CoCo has to pitch 2 inning this game. At least give the offense one more chance to score.
  14. Why this guy still has a major league uniform on his body is a mystery to me.
  15. for those not able to listen: Something named Norris Hopper led of the inning with a double and Hattieburg singled him in.
  16. The last 25 years were pretty bad for Brewer fans. The baseball gods have determined that the next two months are going to be worse.
  17. Can we ever have a nice easy win?
  18. Uecker still tells great stories. He can make you laugh at least once a game. Not many baseball announcers can do that.
  19. How about some: http://www.magicity.com/images/MagiciansInsurancePolicy.JPG

  21. Game over. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif God I hate our team right now.
  22. It's pretty sad when it looks like the game is over when it's only 2-0 in the third inning. The Brewers can't even hit a ball out of the freaking infield. Except for Braun, of course.
  23. I'm just glad we don't have to watch Gwynn's weak grounders to the second baseman for a while.
