  1. JJ is struggling. He made the game look so easy in the first month in a half, though. He's got a lot of talent. If he works on his weaknesses in the off season, he could be more consistent next year and beyond.
  2. At 107 pitches, Larussa lets Kip "5.57 ERA" Wells pitch to Ramirez with 2 on in the 7th and he gives up a single to score a run. Thank you CoCo. (and the baseball gods!)
  3. Kendall grounds out with the bases loaded. 3 outs, tie game.
  4. Any reason why JJ wouldn't hit for Counsell?
  5. Sometimes CV is just nasty. Sometimes Turnbow isn't. Kudos to Yost for recognizing that Turnbow didn't have it tonight.
  6. Thanks Griffey. Why are you trying to ruin our night?
  7. Great idea. How about Estrada and Balfour, though. Then they can penalize Balfour by sending him down to West Virginia. And they can trade Estrada to the Padres, just like the Cubs did with Barrett. In return we get Barrett!! Wouldn't that be delicious irony? I'm doing a little research into World Series teams and catchers. What I'm finding out so far is that teams that make it into the WS don't have lazy, crappy catchers.
  8. I would imagine the Cards will be shopping for pitchers this winter. There is no way they can compete with the Brewers and Cubs next year with the crap they have now. Even if Carpenter came back at the All-Star break next, I don't think he would be very effective. Doesn't it take more than a year for a pitcher to get back to normal from this surgery?
  9. What happened to the Brewers offense? It has been pretty awful since the break. Actually, it's been pretty awful for about 2 1/2 weeks.
  10. The Brewers have a lot of struggling batters right now.
  11. Nice outing Cappy. We needed it. It's nice to see a pitcher go 7 innings.
  12. I knew that was coming. Sorry, I was just venting. Matt Cain doesn't suck. I will send him a letter of apology when I get the chance.
  13. Matt Cain, I know why you are 3-10. It is because you suck. Two outs and nobody one base and he gives up 4. Boy the Giants are god awful. I think we should be happy they actually won a game in that series.
  14. It seems like about a month since the Brewers added to their division lead.
  15. Cool as a cucumber on a September morn! That's our CV.
  16. Sure wish Coco was ready for this last out in the 8th. I hope Ned didn't give CV the same speech he gave Capuano.
  17. Cubs walk in a run in the 8th. 3-2 giants.
  18. 62 pitches from Vargas in 3 innings. Not what this bullpen needs. Can't see him going past 5 in this game.
  19. Counsell got lucky. He should have been called out on strikes. We'll take it. The Brewers need every break they can get about now.
  20. Sure would be nice if one of our starters could at least make it through 7 innings once in a while.
