    Yost had to pitch Turnbow in a tight game eventually to show some confidence in him/shut him up.

    This is the kind of statement that shows how ridiculous the Yost hate has gotten. This one is on Turnbow/Kendall. It should have been obvious after Turnbow's first pitch that Cardinals hitters were looking for a first pitch fastball. Why the hell do you throw another first pitch fastball to Schumacker? I know you'd like to get a first pitch strike, but you've got to pick up on this stuff. They did seem to adjust, but did so a batter too late.

    A realize that lefties hit low inside pitches well, but I think most of the time lefties pull that pitch by Gagne foul or watch it go by.

    Since when? The pitch looked like it would have been a ball if Bako hadn't hit it.

    Gagne was hitting 92 on his fastball today. Either way, I doubt Yost or any other coach puts any stock in the stadium/TV guns.

    Umm, closers pitching four days in a row isn't all that odd. Cordero did it twice last year, one of the times he went six in a row. And Gagne's save yesterday was pretty effortless.

    Weeks is the only player currently on the team who took more pitches per plate appearance than Yovani last year. Incredibly small sample, though.

    I love how Dusty shuffles his lineup around but completely ignores the problem at the top of it. Edit - And of course, Patterson draws a walk now.

    I really like this move for the Rays. If Longoria comes even close to fulfilling his potential this will be a steal. With all the talent that is on their team or close to being there they could realistically make some noise in the east in the near future. I wonder if they're working on a deal for David Price, who hasn't even pitched in the majors yet.

    Great win!!! Prince gets that monkey off his back and our bullpen was excellent. Nice to see the crew battle back. I think McClung's outing has earned him the right to be called by his real name here on Brewerfan.
