  1. Well, when the righthander happens to be the best hitter in the league...
  2. More like Kendall or Hall is a moron. The squeeze was the perfect call in that situation.
  3. With Kendall batting its a great call...if he gets the sign. Kendall hits a lot of groundballs.
  4. If executed, it would have been a great play. Miles would have never got there.
  5. If the Brewers pitching and hitting is still in a funk through the Dodgers series, I don't think Ned will be on the plane to Boston. Ned certainly isn't our biggest problem right now, but he'll be the scapegoat. We're a good team, but everyone seems to be slumping at the same time. Our pitching and hitting will get better, hopefully when Ned is still here. Otherwise people will be claiming that firing Yost made such a difference when in reality there was no way we'd keep playing this bad with or without Yost.
  6. Finals are coming up and the Brewers are doing nothing to distract me from studying.
  7. Well, at least they're making it interesting.
  8. Hopefully Soup will repay the favor by going 6+ innings next outing.
  9. Well there's some emotion from Yost.
  10. Yes, with Royster's superior motivational skills we'd still be batting in the top of the first right now.
  11. Shouldn't we be glad that Yost is looking at past success as he's making decisions? I'm glad that Yost plans to stick with Gagne because history suggests he isn't going to be this bad the rest of the year. That's certainly better than some knee-jerk move like naming Mota the closer because he's been good/lucky this year so far. Like always, Yost's choice of words were not the best, but suggesting demoting Gagne after a little over a month is pretty ridiculous.
  12. Pitching in the Rockies will flatten out Jorge's wicked stuff, the only thing he had going for him. I expect his stay there to be short. He did have an RBI today, though.
  13. Are you really criticizing Yost for his love of the righty/lefty matchup when pinch hitting? Blame Melvin for assembling a team with one freaking left-handed power hitter. Branyan or Nelson need to be up.
  14. Do we really need to hear about how great Gabe Gross was every time Gwynn gets an at-bat?
  15. At this rate that damn train is going to derail eventually.
  16. In the pre-game Melvin mentioned that he didn't anticipate a top starter being available, so I'm mildly surprised that Oswalt isn't starting for us tonight.
  17. It's nice to see another team's second baseman throwing the ball around. Hopefully we can capitalize.
  18. Yes, in that situation the fault is placed on Neugebauer and the training staff. There was no reason to expect Davey Lopes to diagnose a shoulder injury and no reason to expect Ned to diagnose a severe knee injury.
  19. Most managers are going to leave players out there when both the player and trainer say they're good to go. If you disagree with this, your disapproval should be directed at coaches in general, not just Yost. I highly doubt that.
  20. I really don't see us getting a starter that will come anywhere close to filling the hole left by Gallardo. If we pick someone up it'll be a guy like Vicente Padilla, Odalis Perez, or Bronson Arroyo - someone who isn't much better than what we already have.
  21. I feel sick. I think the crew can overcome, but it won't be easy. This really sucks.
