Yeah i think a UVerse 300 subscription comes with a 3mb/1mb pipe. So you aren't as fast as TWC down, but you get a rock solid 1mb up. For us telecommuters it's a big plus. I think you can get the 400 series UVerse and it's a 5/1mb. There is talk about VRAD2 software update that could make the boxes pretty blazing, I'm not sure if they'd allow them to go so fast. But they think they can pump 120mbit to your house. Pretty nuts. As far as apt buildings, I'd assume they would. That's a pretty big revenue stream they'd be losing out on. It may depend on how recent the building is wired, but I assume ATT wants to penetrate the market and will clean up and update the wiring.

Way bigger then Sherman park. When I got there around 10, I thought maybe I got the wrong spot, since there was no one there really! Anyways, pictures! http://lh5.ggpht.com/aaron.gross/SF3qNmwR1fI/AAAAAAAAA1o/lBNVe2HkrTg/s400/DSC00057.JPG Very Short QnA with the players http://lh6.ggpht.com/aaron.gross/SF3qcXdzapI/AAAAAAAAA2w/cNt92ZOO0j0/s400/DSC00066.JPG Davey Nelson http://lh5.ggpht.com/aaron.gross/SF3qU-QszKI/AAAAAAAAA2I/TkrgSmLBh9E/s400/DSC00061.JPG Cameron - Says he was going to try to run on it Saturday evening. Had a pretty good limp going. He spent a fair amount of time talking with Kids. Seems like a great guy. Apparently I didn't get a picture with Ed Sedar. Sorry Ed! http://lh6.ggpht.com/aaron.gross/SF3qWXVrvbI/AAAAAAAAA2Q/xSGwA3ixc8g/s400/DSC00062.JPG Billy Hall - For all those Yahoo Fantasy players, I asked Bill to try to get a few more starts at Second to get eligibility. He laughed. http://lh6.ggpht.com/aaron.gross/SF3qX_kpcyI/AAAAAAAAA2Y/HaY82WBcCEQ/s400/DSC00063.JPG Shouse - He seems way shorter IRL. http://lh3.ggpht.com/aaron.gross/SF3qkzxWtFI/AAAAAAAAA40/q4Z5P8ihju0/s400/DSC00072.JPG Crazy Joe! His kids were there in #27 Camo shirts.

This last Saturday was the first of the block parties. They split up the signers into to locations this year. I went to the Sherman Park one, thinking Sheets draw was pretty big and I wanted to ensure I got at least one autograph. But to my shock, I got all 5 (Cameron, JDilly, Shouse, Hall, Sedar AND Davey Nelson!). There were probably at most 100 people, which is down from a huge mob of people at last year events. Anyone go to the Sheeters/Gritt/Bushy signing? Were there more people?

Where is here Menot? I noticed them putting in VRADs in Shorewood and around the east side. So I'm hoping they'll be able to roll out before my TWC promotional expires as well. I just have a lot of gripes with TWC. Their on demand is setup so messed up, you have to navigate to channels to get the listings. It was much easier on UVerse, you hit the on-demand button and it brings up a listings of the networks. You just scroll to it. So much easier. UVerse didn't have HD On Demand though, but TWC listings are pretty limited. The DVR is just balls awefull. First the remote must be designed for a person with very large hands. It could choke a donkey, it's like the original XBOX controllers. It's a minor pain, but it seems like they could simplify the remote a ton. The Guide just sucks... I can't believe it won' stretch to support 16x9. So every times you hit the guide it shrinks to what a 480 image? Ewwww... the search blows since they only have about 5 days of TV programing on it. So if a shows not airing for a week (say NBA finals pushed all your shows back) you have to wait. Yuck! The fastforward rewind implementation is just not very good. Not having the ability to switch stream on the fly to use a buffer with out using pip just stinks. And... the PIP is just horrible. Hey lets put it so it's 1/4 of the screen up, and doesn't support 16x9 so when you try to watch Brewers and the Eurocup yo uhave to choose to miss the throwing motion, or the hitter. I hate you TWC with the fire of 10,000 suns.

Rad. I will be buying one as soon as they are available.

I just got TWC after about 6 months of ATT (Move) from 6 years of DTV with DirectTiVo. I will say, I would in an instant switch back to UVerse if I had the chance. (Not rolled out to Shorewood yet) The DVR is by far better then the TWC DVR. The TWC DVR is horrible. Nothing compares to TiVo but the ATT UVerse DVR wasn't totally horrible. The TWC DVR is crap. ATT image quality is pretty good, it's outstanding SD. But just ok HD. They are supposed to roll out an update soon that will HD increase resolution. ATT has currently 3 SD and 1 HD incoming to your connection period. That means if you have 2 HD TVs you'll only ever be able to watch 1 HD at a time. Q2 roll out of 2 HD / 2 SD Streams. It's perfect for 1 or 2 TV homes, more then that look for DTV/TWC. All room DVR. Q3 this year ATT is supposed to roll out all room DVR. So everyone can use the DVR. Seems cool, but I have yet to experience it. All in all, when Shorewood rolls out UVerse I will 100% be ditching this piece of crap TWC. I would switch back to DTV if I could.. but I can't. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif All in all I'll say that UVerse is really neat, but needs some work. I think if they can fix some of the issues (Limited streams and limited HD quality) they will have a killer. Also remember, that UVerse comes with an internet connection. The biggest selling point is that they have a min of 1 mb up. Which is way faster then TWC. Boy I'm rambling.. But here's the way I'll put it. DTV w/ TiVo -> UVerse -> TWC.

    Ugh.... Retro uniforms. Ohhh noes....

I thought it was which ever side the pitcher pitches from the first pitch. Batter can switch sides. Not sure why guy didn't take A pitch from his weaker side then switch.

Marmol up for the top of 8? Good god, his arms going to fall off.
  12. sgtcluels
Well it's hard to say if it'll be long or not. But that doesn't sound good if they are going to schedule an MRI arthrogram. Almost sounds like they are looking for some structural damage.
  13. sgtcluels
Well.. I meant the tools who mocked us.. Not all Cub fans (Just the vast majority Teehee)
  14. sgtcluels
ugh.. just because Cub fans mock us, doesn't mean we have to stoop to their level and being tools. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the Cubs if Zambranos injury is bad.
  15. sgtcluels
There's some pretty shotty posts here guys. We all were upset when Cub fans were happy when Gallardo got hurt. I really don't like "Big Z" but hope it's nothing overly horrible... liek homer said, it would be better to watch him implode. Which inning did he go down? I got to watch till the 5th-ish and saw Zs horrible 3rd inning.

According to CNN they are saying Tigers to miss rest of season. Pretty big blow for him and PGA. If Tiger could make some more majors I'd expect people to tune in just to see his Grittiness.

I remember that game Wisfan. It was great, made me love 3TO for life. I have some serious man crush on him.

I had to drive to Watertown for work today. It was a pain getting TO Watertown West Bound. But coming from Watertown it was a breeze, no closures going East Bound. So full freeway speeds, it was odd seeing an entire side of an express way totally devoid of traffic.

July 17th is the start of the British Open. (Same weekend as US Bank.. guess no major stars coming would be my guess) August 8th is the start of PGA Championship. Ryder Cup is in September. hmm.. maybe sitting out the British?

Said he's going to shut it down for awhile. I wonder how long before he plays again, he's made some 800 million he could just walk away and be done with it all. Knee looks like it hurts pretty bad.

Wonder what the ratings are for this tourney. I watched a fair amount and I'm not a huge Golf watcher.
  22. sgtcluels
There's no real option minus bringing Villy back into the rotation and moving Bushy to long relief. Our only other option will be to lay some holy hands on Gallardos knee and magically fix it.
  23. sgtcluels
Bushy will just start PHing more often and get his confidence back.

Josh from THT posted another great PitchFX article over at BCB about McClungs delivery changes since he became a starter. It's got some very interesting stuff, especially about his arm slot and release point. Thanks again Josh, your articles are fantastic.

That was an amazing finish. To bad I have to go into the office or I'd watch the playoff match. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
